While it presents well, with an incredible location, it did seem to come with a couple of contradictions: Rooms: Look good - but lack the finishing touches e.g. - Contains a mini bar (but not really stocked - just 2 small water bottles in it) - Only two coffee pods per room - and no milk - No vanity items in the bathroom (shower-cap, cotton wool/buds) Dining: In general disappoints - Breakfast was underwhelming for a hotel of this standing - Would be good to have another dining option than the fine-dining/tasting menu restaurant (we did also wander to local restaurants which were very good . . . just without the view) - Bar shuts at 10.00

The location is fantastic. The views across the lake are spectacular. And the vineyards are right there at on your doorstep - which you can wander down to from the hotel.

No AC and poor fans make it very hot in the summer months. Needs some updating ( carpet in main areas smells musky).

Beautiful location in the Lavaux. Lovely accommodating staff. Good breakfast in the morning with view of the lake. Fair price for Switzerland. Easy to get to walks on the vineyards and Chexbres is right around the coroner and has plenty to offer in terms of restaurants, wineries and shops. Good train connections.

It would be good to have some basic amenities like cotton buds or vanity kit. Breakfast is advertised as being available until 10:00, but in reality, guests are expected not only to pick up food, but finish eating by that time and to have left the restaurant altogether. If that’s the case, breakfast should reasonably be announced as ending at 9:30, not 10:00. This morning, we arrived at 9:50—admittedly late, as we had overslept—only to be told by a staff member that she would "exceptionally" allow us to have breakfast and remain until 10:15, as she needed to begin setting up for lunch. We managed to collect our food and coffee and finished by 10:10. A mere 10-minute delay in setting the table for lunch hardly justifies the unpleasant experience of being made to feel like we were merely “allowed” to have the breakfast we had already paid 25 CHF for.

The view is stunning, the spa is small but very clean and cosy. Overall good value for the money.

While our stay was generally pleasant, we found the room lacking some basic amenities in the bathroom. However, the main concern was the absence of air conditioning. Although there was a ceiling fan and an additional portable fan provided, the room remained uncomfortably warm, especially with outdoor temperatures exceeding 30°C.

The breakfast was not good value for money and a lot of food was not tasty. Also there was a strange smell coming from the bathroom and the safe didn’t work. You also have to pay extra to use the pool.

The baby cot was not great, the mini bar/little fridge was not working on arrival, but got replaced very quickly, so ended up not being an issue. The spa is nice but wish they didn't limit entry with kids to one hour, and if it were free for hotel guests, it would have been even better

Road is a bit noisy, but nothing the hotel can do about that. Just be aware a “Forest view” room has a busy street between it and forest. Restaurant expensive for a limited menu, but view is breathtaking.

Considering that breakfast costs CHF 25, I would expect more items at the buffet. It would be wonderful to have pancakes or waffles with maple syrup, as well as breakfast potatoes.

The single room. It is nice to travel alone and not have to pay extra for a large bed when it is not needed. I loved the swimming pool, sauna and hammam. I like the idea of limited hours for kids in the pool (I'm a mom, but even I can appreciate adults-only hours in the pool ;-) It is also nice that you can walk to the village in 5 minutes and find a few restaurants.

Check in coud be much better. Recepcionist stressed, very cold and formal speaking very fast.

The view is the major factor of this hotel! WOW! Our room was facing the vineyards, Le Man lake and the mountains! The room was nice and clean, bathroom (tight) with good amenities. Breakfast buffet was very good and with the view again! Hard to leave, I have to confess... The hotel's restaurant was full at friday night but, we received an indication of an informal italian one very close by (walking distance) with tasty food. On saturday morning we asked for late check out and we got it (nice receptionist).

Quite antiquated furniture, and the pillows were not very comfortable. There were kids in the rooms next door and you could hear everything through the night. In addition, the ventilator which was there did not help much to make the room cooler, so we kept the window open which resulted in many mosquito bites. All in all, things that we can work with, however against a rather high price tag

It was very hot when we stayed and our room did not have AC. Appreciate that is an old building but that would have been a bonus.
