Being right next the train tracks makes it loud if windows are open. The apartment was warm without AC, but wasn’t terrible considering the very high outside temperatures while we were there.

We did really enjoy this property for our family of 5. Having a full kitchen helped make meals easier and we didn’t feel crowded in this spacious apartment.

The apartment overlooks a railyard; however the double-glazed windows block the noise from the trains which was great. Air conditioning or a fan in each room would have been helpful so we could have kept the windows shut (and the train noise out) on a hot night.

Apartment is huge and well appointed - doesn't really want for anything. After a few weeks of travelling the washer and dryer were a real bonus. The location is great with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

Some missing items: electric kettle (provided upon request), toaster, more plates/bowls/silverware needed, a large frying pan (provided upon request). We were only given one dish towel. The apartment can get quite warm in the summer. We had to buy our own detergent for the washing machine. There should be a proper coffee table for the couch. The TV is old and did not come with a HDMI cable for hooking up our own devices (nor did the reception have a cable for us).

No A/C, which required opening the windows, but then you get a lot of train noise from the tracks that it's facing. Some of the kitchenware wasn't cleaned thoroughly, and some empty bottles from a previous guest were left in a cabinet. One of the lights was out on a nightstand. There was no detergent provided for the washer, and they claimed this was because it's an apartment, and so people booking it will bring their own (huh?). Had to purchase it ourselves at the nearby store.

Very spacious and modern apartment with a convenient washer/dryer and kitchen appliances. It's close to the main town of Thun and all of the shops/restaurants, as well as grocery stores next door. Nice views of the mountains.

Though clothes detergent is supposed to be provided, we didn’t have any in our room and the hotel ran out of supply which I needed on a Sunday and most stores were closed. The train station shop was open so I was able to get detergent there.

Apartment was clean. Breakfast at restaurant was good. Location is very practical and close to everything. But, if you are a light sleeper, the noise from the train station may be a bother especially if windows are open.

When we checked in, our room was not thoroughly cleaned. The bedrooms were fine but the dining area was not. There were crumbs on the dinner table and chairs. There were empty bottles in one of the kitchen cabinets. The shampoo/ body gel container was half empty so I had to ask for more the next day. The bathroom flooded a little in the last day due to poor drainage. All these issues were brought up to the hotel manager and she was gracious and apologized.

The staff is excellent. ALL are helpful and friendly. Check in was easy. It was done at the restaurant/bar. We arrived early so we had to store our bags for a couple of hours. We brought them to a back room ourselves accompanied by staff. We had a car so we parked at the facility very close by. We liked that we were given a free transport pass - but we had to ask for it. The apartments don't have air conditioning so we asked for extra electric fans which was provided. We had to ask for extra pots as well which was provided. The location is really great. Close to the train station and very convenient for the Thun Ironman event.

Great location near the Thun bahnhof. Very spacious apartment with plenty of room to spread out. Well equipped kitchen (although it did lack an electric kettle).

It wasn't very clear that the apartment wasn't in the actual hotel (was in an adjacent apartment complex), which was disappointing because the charm of the hotel itself was a draw for booking it. Not a big deal, just worth noting. Only other issue was that there is no air conditioning. Given that there are no windows (only doors), and the doors open to a shared courtyard space, we felt uncomfortable keeping them open at night.

The apartment was spacious and very clean, included everything we needed for the space. It was also in a great location from town.

Since you are in the center of the town of Thun which is a great location, but you will have some occasional noise from delivery trucks, trash pick up, and folks going to and from various activities. The trains were not a problem noise wise.

The train station was 10 minutes away via walking. Grocery store and shopping were next door. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was great having the washer and dryer. You could see the different mountains from the apartment. You were so close to everything in Thun. You felt like a local instead of a tourist.

The major negative is that the apartment faces the train tracks. It can be loud, as trains are constantly passing by right outside the building. It’s also not pleasant to have a view of train tracks from the balcony.

The breakfast is so expensive for what you get, but that's Switzerland for you I think. The restaurant is really beautiful, and the people are so incredibly kind, that I almost didn't care that I dropped $30 on yogurt and granola and a coffee. Almost haha.

We absolutely loved this apartment. I would live in this apartment if I could! It was soundproof, so even though it is right above the train tracks, you can barely hear them pass by unless you open a window. It was so convenient to be right near the train station (an 8 min walk with kids), but not be able to hear the trains through the day. There was a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and amazing shower pressure. All things that were greatly appreciated! It is also a short walk into downtown Thun, which is the most adorable town. There is also two grocery stores right next to the building.
