It was so wonderful located, I loved the view … actually cried when we had to leave because I would have stayed more . I will definitely return here one day and for a longer periode of time

The place was super beautiful and clean. We loved the room! Super confortable beds. Nice warm shower and amazing buffet for breakfast. We had a very nice stay there before we started our hiking trail the next day. We highly recommend this hotel. We hope that we can come back one day :)

Nothing - it was a great stay

The hotel is in a fantastic location on the side of a mountain in the beautiful Loetschental, with stunning views in all directions. It is a short (but steep) walk from the cable car station, with plenty of hiking and biking possibilities in summer and direct access to the slopes in winter. We were very well looked after by the staff from start to finish. Our room was comfortable, quiet and cosy, and the food in the restaurant was very good. A great place to stay to enjoy Alpine scenery at its finest!

The only thing 'wrong' was we wished checkout was later. I didn't realize it was at 10, but this is not really a complaint!

The staff were very nice and the view was incredible, as you might expect. I really enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace. Finally, my boyfriend and I found the bed really comfortable and wished we could have stayed longer.

We had an amazing stay here. The team and Manager were so friendly and welcoming. We even had trouble getting our car down the mountain after a storm and the Manager drove it himself and ensured all our luggage got to the cable car, amazing service. The views are out of this world, and the dinner and breakfast was great. We'd love to come back again, one of our favourite ever stays.

We simply loved this hotel for its location and the management. The reception was warm and always helpful and very well run. The room was large with lovely views. We are keen hikers and the short walk from the cable car was no problem for us. Indeed we would love to stay at this hotel again.

You do need to know what to expect. It is a 15-minute drive up the mountain from the nearest town (Wiler). There are no other evening restaurants, bars, shops or facilities, so if you arrive after 7 pm, you need to drive back down again to eat (the nearby gondola is closed in the evening). Importantly, access to the hotel is 200 metres up a rough track; any low-slung car would have grounded on the track immediately but fortunately we were driving my wife’s car and there is usually parking space at the top. Don’t arrive in the dark; satnav won’t show you the right way. The host speaks only German (and Swiss-German). No lift. Having said all that, it’s a lovely setting.

Dinner served early, so no options for food if you miss it. Getting to the property after dusk is very challenging , GPS shows the wrong location and in the dark it was almost impossible to find .. arrive during daytime!

Most incredible location, views form the terrace and restaurant were simply incredible. Very clean room, quiet and pleasant. Breakfast was good, although I’d prefer some veggies also, however everything was tasty and fresh. Helpful staff, very accommodating.

We didn’t get a room with a view so we were disappointed. Google maps took us much further- so the last 15 minutes of the journey-look out for the pale blue street signs showing the way to the hotel.(don’t rely on google maps) Access by road is downright scary as plenty of hairpins curves with sheer drops on the other side. So great views while driving but seriously heart racing as well. Staff speak only German, no French or English so when we called them when we were lost, they couldn’t help at all. Food at the restaurant just average. 15 minutes walk to the nearest cable car.

the food. breakfast was ok although no fruits were served. but the the quality of the dinner food is way below expectation. my wife is vegetarian and there is (almost) no vegetarian food besides cheese fondues and Rösti with cheese. in case you are vegan person - you will have difficulties to survive. that is also the reason why most of the hotel guests have chosen to eat outside of the hotel.

the location is great: directly from bed to the Skilift in 30 seconds.
