The 2-bedroom apartment was really spacious and have everything you need. The owner greeted us really warmly and made us feel welcomed. The train station was a 2-minute walk to from the hostel.

We stayed at Hotel Klein Matterhorn and absolutely loved it! We had a spacious 2-bedroom apartment with a big bathroom, a separate toilet, and a large kitchen that had everything we needed — including a fridge. The apartment was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Honestly, it was the best night’s sleep I’ve had during our 8 days in Switzerland! The owner was such a wonderful person. He personally showed us our apartment and explained everything clearly. The service felt warm and welcoming throughout our stay. We also appreciated the free parking and free WiFi. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Randa train station, which made visiting Zermatt so easy. We took the train from Randa to Zermatt, and the owner even allowed us to leave our car parked at the hotel for free until we returned in the afternoon — such a kind gesture! On top of all that, our apartment had amazing mountain views, which made our stay even more memorable. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier. We will return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and we immediately noticed how clean and well-maintained everything was. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered all the little touches that make a big difference – from fresh linens to thoughtful amenities. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The location was perfect for exploring the area, yet quiet enough to relax in the evenings. What stood out most was the genuine hospitality – every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We left with great memories and will definitely return on our next trip.

I can’t express how grateful I am to Marco at Hotel Klein Matterhorn. After making the difficult decision not to continue my hike, I found myself without accommodation, and even though the hotel was fully booked, Marco went above and beyond to help me. He made countless calls to find me a place to stay, all with genuine care and kindness. His calm, thoughtful support meant the world to me during a really vulnerable moment. Not only is Marco incredibly kind, he’s also an amazing entertainer! He brings so much warmth and life to the hotel. All the staff were truly wonderful, welcoming, helpful, and full of heart. The hotel has a beautiful energy, and I felt genuinely cared for. Thank you so much for everything. I’ll never forget your kindness and the joyful spirit you bring to this special place.

Marco was the friendliest guy around and really spoiled us with our stay. We stayed two nights and got all we needed, plus a little more. He gave us good advice on trails to hike and things to see. This is a nice little cottage nestled in a valley surrounded by mountain peaks. Would definitely recommend this stay!

There is no lift, so we needed to carry our luggage 2 floors.

Very friendly staff. They were kind enough to accommodate our request to have a room with a kitchenette. The place was clean and comfortable to stay. The views from the room were excellent.

The keeper of the hotel was lovely: he made sure everything was alright even before we arrived and was very welcoming once we were there. The rooms were more spacious than I expected and—although not luxurious—all that I desired! The hotel is also right next to the train station to get to Zermatt, which is quite useful.

The host knows very well how to make his clients happy. The location is perfect, next to the train station in Randa. Very convinient to reach Zermatt. We recommend it!

I loved staying in hotel Klein Matterhorn. The owner(?) Came outside looking for us when the address in booking.com was incorrect. The place is directly next to the train station (but somehow the train is extremely quiet and does not bother you at night) unfortunately there are NO food places in randa (this isnt an exaggeration) BUT the hotel went above and beyond to make us dinner so we didn't have to go back to zermatt. And that dinner... the best dinner I had in switzerland. A true homecooked meal, well appreciated and a very fair price. It wasn't fancy but it was extremely flavorful. Breakfast was also lovely and included boiled eggs (something most hotels seemed to not have) I'd come back just to eat dinner there more often! Have an open mind to this place and you will be pleasantly surprised.

The oven doesn't work and the kitchen isn't well equipped.

The guy who checked us in was very nice and welcoming. The apartment is nice. Super well located and good terraces to enjoy them.
