It would be great to be able to buy water & cold drinks etc at the house. If you don't have a car it's a good half hour walk to the nearest supermarket, which is a bit annoying when you just arrived from a long trip...(Thank God it didn't rain at least when I arrived. Perhaps the hosts could inform about this & recommend the guests to make a stop at the shops before arriving at the hostel, just a thought

We booked a room for 3 people which unfortunately came with a bunk bed. Now the bunk bed itself was not that great, and it was somewhat difficult for 2 people to sleep on it. Apart from this the Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to access it from any part of the room. The rooms are not exactly soundproof so you will hear a little sound from the lock pads of other rooms when other people come in but this will not be a major issue as most of the guests are mindful of how much noise they are making.

It is a great home with multiple rooms available for stay. The rooms themselves were clean, and the bathrooms were spacious. The common kitchen had the required amenities which really made our stay comfortable.

Everything. I did not know what to expect, never having stayed in a “guest house”. It’s a beautiful home with a gorgeously landscaped back yard in a very upscale neighborhood. All the bedrooms have keypad entry, and the common areas are shared. Sort of like a 5 star dormitory for adults. The other guests were super respectful of one another. We only ran into them a few times and enjoyed hearing about their travels. The kitchen was well stocked for utensils and cooking ware. And it was nice to have access to a large fridge, though each room has its own very cute mini one. We used the backyard to cook dinner one night using our camp stove (understandably the host has their gas stove off limits) and enjoyed eating surrounded by the hydrangeas in bloom. There is a full size washer and dryer by the kitchen, which was very convenient. We stayed in a king size room, which could have been the master, but I’m not sure. The bedroom had a super comfortable king size bed and nice pillows, which I usually find lacking in house rentals. The bathroom was also very nice. The large TV had access to streaming services, and there was a nice size workspace with a view to the front yard set up in the oversized closet. The location was very convenient to Granville Island and Stanley Park. We drove but other guests talked about using the bus service. There is a Safeway at the far end of the street. I hope that I come across more accommodations like this!

This is a room in a big house. The room is very spacious with a nice bathroom and overall it feels like an expensive hotel. The shared space is also really nice. Check-in was easy, except for finding the house itself. Very clean

Host doesnt live in and every room is rented out to other guests so a house full of strangers. So you dont really leave your room to enjoy the rest of the house.

This house is beautiful! The rooms are comfy and security is impeccable. The location to everything was perfect. Quick Uber rides to everywhere. And the price is the best deal! We stayed for 2 nights at what I would have paid for 1 night in a hotel (actually less). The private bathroom is a huge plus. The backyard is beautiful and nice to sit in at night with the fire place. If we come to Vancouver we would stay again! Extra bonus, walk around the neighborhood! The architecture and landscaping was breathtaking.

The place was clean, quiet, and located in a peaceful neighborhood that made it easy to move around the city. While the house has some impressive features, such as a large kitchen, dining room, and living room, guests are not permitted to use most of these shared spaces, which made the environment feel unwelcoming. The bathroom had an odor, and none of the windows could be opened, as they were all painted shut, making it difficult to get fresh air into the space. The shower had some mold and is very outdated. While the bathroom had a wall to wall mirror there was not a single full length mirror in the whole house. The mattress was more like a piece of foam, and quite thin so you could feel the wooden slats beneath it.

The house is located in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood just a short walk from the bus stop. The room and bathroom were both spacious. The sheets were clean and fresh, and each bed had two large, thick pillows. I appreciated that the room had its own air conditioning unit and a small private fridge, which was a nice alternative to using the shared kitchen fridge. Susan was responsive throughout our stay. I requested additional towels and a power bar due to a limited number of working outlets (only two, which were already in use by the fridge and TV). While someone did drop off the items the next day, I did feel like I had to push a bit for the power bar, which was frustrating given the setup. The bathroom door handle was broken when we arrived, but it was repaired the following day. There were plenty of hangers in the closet, which was helpful since we were a group of three. Guests also have access to a washer and dryer, though I didn’t check whether detergent was provided. There’s a lovely backyard with a patio set, which we unfortunately couldn’t enjoy due to rainy weather during our stay.
