AC was a little noisy but cooled the room and then turned it off. Nothing to do with the hotel but the town was very quiet and it seems just the one restaurant/pub was open but it was very nice.

Bathroom definitely needed an upgrade. Taps difficult to use. No hot water. Very worn around tub. No place to put your toiletries . Heard every noise of people above and beside us. We were on ground floor. People walking by outside were very close to our window so we had to close our curtains at all times

The smell of cleaning products was a bit overwhelming upon arrival. The room was very clean, but needed to be aired out with open windows for a few minutes…after that it was fine.

Location was excellent. The communication was very good. Beds were comfy, the decor and finishings are a little dated, but everything worked and was clean. Very quiet. I would stay there again if in the area.

The hotel itself is very dated, but you can see where the current owners/operators are doing their best to raise the standard. I hope they make this work, they are really giving it a good effort... hats off to them!

The kitchenette could have had more dishes and utensils. Air conditioning was set to 17C when we arrived, so the rooms were cold.

We had two decent sized rooms beside each other for a family trip. Rooms were clean. One had a kitchenette with a stove, and one just had a microwave. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Nice location and good value for money.

The dishes provided were a bit sparse. One bowl. Very cheap coffee maker. The parking was very tight with our small pickup.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When he saw that we both walk with canes, he changed our room to the ground floor without us requesting it. He offered free pop and water, 24/7.

The size of the room was very good, spacious. Walking distance from Cowichan Bay restaurants and downtown. The kind gentleman at the front desk offered ideas of what to do in the area. We could take water and soda from the fridge in the reception area. At the moment there are renovations going on however there was no disturbance from these renovations. Would love to see the end product 😁

We had the most amazing stay at this charming seaside motel in Cowichan Bay! From the moment we arrived, Sahil and Michael went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their warmth and hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch you don’t often get these days. The location is absolutely perfect - the motel is right by the beach, so we could literally walk out and enjoy peaceful walks along the shore or just sit and soak in the views. Watching the sunset here was magical - golden skies reflecting off the water, pure tranquility. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The views from the room were incredible - waking up to that ocean view was something special. It was also such a thoughtful touch that they provided water bottles and pops in the room. Parking was super convenient too, right next to the room. One of the highlights of our trip was river tubing in Lake Cowichan, which was just a scenic 30-minute drive away. Plus, grocery stores and great local restaurants were just 5- 10 minutes from the motel, so everything we needed was within easy reach. All in all, this place was the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty. Huge thanks again to Sahil and Michael - we’ll definitely be back!
