Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicMy experience with this accommodation was absolutely fantastic. The room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and I felt right at home. It's close to all amenities. The landlady was incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place. Thank you.

SlovakiaDon't expect to do much cooking there, that's all. The common dining area has a toaster, microwave, water boiler, all needed for a good breakfast.
The host is really nice, available to help with everything. The place was neat and cozy. Free parking right in front of the house.

CanadaThis place is really value for money for our family visiting Vancouver since it is an expensive city to visit. There is no air conditioning and it was summer but there is an air cooler you can use.
The host and her family were very nice and accommodating. All of our needs were met. The house and the room were very clean! The bathroom is newly renovated. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom. There is a small eating area downstairs with coffee/tea/snacks, a refrigerator and a microwave. There is parking right in front of the house which is very convenient if you have a car and want to explore Vancouver.

Facilities are good for sure. But what really impressed me was the hospitality and immediate responses on text from Vivi. The location might look far from downtown, but it's actually in a very convenient region. There are many Chinese restaurants and supermarkets near by. There is also a post office within 10-min walk. With Bus 20 and R4, we can reach the city center, Pacific Central Station, University of British Columbia, Vancouver Airport, as well as basically everywhere in the city easily. Free laundry and dryer are also perfect for long-day travelers!

FinlandThe walls are not very thick so noises from other rooms are loud, but most of the time house was very quiet. We would prefer proper sheets.
House is very clean, comfortable and there’s plenty of space. Kitchenette is good for having breakfast and we got to do our laundry which was nice. Vivi is extremely kind and helpful. Location is okay, just a little far away but connections are pretty good.

United StatesThe outside of the home could be a bit more welcoming/ marked in a way to ensure we were at the correct location. The street the house is on is rather busy. While there are some great places nearby to eat, it is not easily walkable to those locations and some options (like coffee) are rather limited.
Overall we had a wonderful stay at Vivi's. The home is clean and comfortable. Our room with a private bathroom was spacious and nice. The shared kitchen space is useful and having access to the laundry was super helpful! Vivi is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and short drive to other parts of town.

United StatesVivi and her husband are just the best. Very honest, sweet, warm and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure guests have everything they need. They keep their place very, very clean. The bed was super-comfortable. their location is near central, and convenient to most everything, including the airport. The restaurants in their neighborhood are very good. One of them had the best coffee I've ever had, and among the best pho. I would definitely stay at Vivi's home again. It's a good value.

United StatesThe A/C unit wasn't a attached and ended up not fitting the window, and with showing up at just the right time of year was a very humid room, but we we're provided with a fan & cooling unit.
Great place with the people working/ staying there.a little further out from downtown but within public transportation distance. It was walking distance to a bus stop. They answered all our questions and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They had a very beautiful yard. Bathroom was very clean and offered both a top shower and moveable head.

United StatesAlthough no breakfast was promised, it would have been a nice addition.
One important asset is that their location is about 20 minutes from the airport and five minutes (via Uber) from the nearest skytrain station. The private bathroom was new, the neighborhood was quiet. There was a washer/dryer available. Vivi and her husband were very accommodating and helpful to me including helping me with my luggage. In the common room, there was an espresso maker and a refrigerator (I was given my own shelf).

1.) The hosts are welcoming, informative, and hospitable. They greatly take care of you. 2.) The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and hygienic. They have a large bed, fan, desk and personal washroom with plenty of toiletries. You don’t have to share the washroom with anyone. Great value for the price. 3. The utilities are excellent. There are plenty of snacks, tea, water, coffee, and silverware. The internet is very fast. Awesome place for a movie night. 4. Awesome location. Victoria drive is full of great restaurants and stores. Transit stops are nearby and it’s only a 10 min ride to downtown Vancouver to catch a hockey game or skytrain to explore Vancouver.
