Bed was not super comfortable. The booking said private bathroom, but it was a shared bathroom. I did not like having to wait for other's to get out of the bathroom for us to be able to use it. I was ok with the price when I thought it was a private bathroom, but this felt more like a hostel than a luxury guest house.

Location was awesome. Family who own and live in the property were great and very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome :) House was beautiful.

No information on check in or check out procedure. Just showed up and rang the doorbell. Provided no confirmation but was shown to a room. That was fine because we booked it, but how did they know who we were? The bathroom was nicely renovated, but the detail shown in cleaning was poor. Behind the sink was stained and dirty. Either the tile grout needs to be cleaned properly and then sealed. Same with the nice big walk in shower.... Great thing to have but looks bad like it's not cared for. For the price to rent a bedroom with bathroom, only a little cheaper than a hotel....

A lot of effort has been put into the house itself. High quality finishes. The owners are very friendly. The beds are very, very comfortable. Location is pretty great, only a 10 minute walk from the SkyTrain station.

It was pretty loud, with people coming and going late and early. There were no decorations at all in the room, which made it feel very basic (not "luxury"). But it was comfortable and fit the bill for a last minute booking.

It was available last minute, and the neighborhood felt safe. Also glad there was a fridge and a microwave.

Separate Bathroom not usable. Only one lightswitch with ceiling lights only. The carpet was still wet after being cleaned. The host entered our room in the middel of the night.

I didn’t get the place that was advertised. They said there was a problem with the place and they relocated my family to another place with less value. The new location was in a busy load street. The room was advertised to have a private room with couches, but we didn’t have any couches. There were loud guests in the room across the hall that left dirty dishes in the sink. Between the load guests and the load traffic, we couldn’t sleep much. They ended up moving us to the original location to find out that other guests had been kicked out of our room to a different room. When these other guests come to our room (very angry), I had to explain that the host moved their belongings to a different room. Pretty awkward! On top of this, the pictures of the place are very misleading. There were pictures of lots of rooms that weren’t available for us. There is a picture of a very nice living room with a grand piano. Apparently, that room is private and isn’t available. There is also a ‘game room’ advertised and a ping pong table listed, but the game room wasn’t available either. That said, the hosts were very kind and polite!l

No plates, no silverware for kitchen amenities. The check in process was disorganized without clear instructions on how to find the room and key code. The host was asking intrusive questions about the guests asking them personal questions about their health. I did not appreciate that the host was asking me personal questions and asking me unrequested medical advice that I did not seek.

When we got to the address of the property provided, the host relocated us to a different property down the street. Host didn’t speak English very well and pushed for us to relocate. We originally booked 2 rooms with 2 queens and ended up getting 2 rooms with 1 queen and 1 twin in each room. It was a hot day, but no A/C or fans were available.

The room did not match the photos at all, and the property they brought us to was a different address and look than the one on the listing. The room was definitely lower quality than what I believed I was booking. There was no bedframe and the bed/pillows weren't very comfortable.

The hosts were very welcoming and ensured we had a enjoyable stay. They offered snacks and refreshments, towels, as well as use of the patio. They even allowed us to make breakfast (from a full fridge of food shared with guests!) before we checked out. They were hospitable and kind, and checked in to see if we needed anything else during our stay.

The walls are quite thin in that we were woken in the night by loud talking in the communal space, maybe best if guests are reminded that people are sleeping if arriving late.

The host(s) were genuinely kind and caring hosts, and were interested in our travels, so definitely if you stay here take the time to talk to the hosts, they are lovely kind people, and they have an interesting story to trll also. The beds were comfy and we had use of the kettle and stored things in the communal fridge.

A bathroom shared by 5 separate rooms, 8 persons. There was a seperate shared toilet. Hence some waiting times for bathroom. Had to ask for cups to make tea. Some of us had to ask to ask for towels as well.

Bed sheets were not laundered and I found a long hair on one of the beds. The bathroom had mold in the grouting. A top sheet was not provided between the bedsheet and duvet.

We liked that the residence was well lit down to the entrance of the suites when we arrived. The shower had good pressure and soap was provided. Host was open to casual check in at 10:45 pm. He also appreciated my suggestions for improvement. Bed was comfortable .This place has potential.

This is too much expensive for what it is. It is actually a huge shared house with many other people. Even if the owner was polite , he didn't show us the house, explain to us what we could use, where we could go, if we could have access to Thea or coffee. The TV was not working. The cleaning was so so for a price like this, you expect something more. Some hair in the shower plus on some already used soap... not hight standard

I had to go to downtown, the staff said he would take us at the fare of uber but he also mentioned to the other person renting that he would take him too. He charged us higher than uber to both of us (but paid approx. to uber fare). It was weird he didn't let two of us talk before hand... I thought they had breakfast option in the booking but when I asked he said there isn't (might have to check).

The room was clean and pretty looking. The staff was not able to communicate well but I understood. We came in later than our check-in time but he allowed and it took a while to do the check-in but it was manageable.

My booking was not honoured as I thought it was. The bathtub and sink had hair and toothpaste on the tap. The owner offered me a king size bed in the kitchen, and it just felt very very unluxurious. I was giving an upgrade to room with its own bathroom and two queen beds. One was rockhard one was satisfactory. However, he needed upgrade in cash, and when I pulled up my wallet, it happened to be the exact amount of money I had in my wallet it felt dirty. There are some nice attributes to this home, but it is not at all what I was expecting.

You could tell that the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The beds are not comfortable. The person that was there to meet us tried to get cash from me for the rooms, yet they were already paid for.

The location was good for where we were going and the people that own the house were friendly. We certainly felt safe where we were.
