Restrictions on use of pool

Lovely hostess . Excellent food.

There was no mention of dogs at the property….we are OK with dogs but others may not be. While the breakfasts were a work of art it was way more food than we would normally eat but there was no other option. Would have liked a few options i.e.cereal, yogurt granola…….did not want to waste the food or insult the host so we ate the big breakfast

Hard to rate this stay. We definitely felt we were in someone’s peculiar home. Like being at grandmas house. Although others raved about the breakfast, it wasn’t to our taste. We didn’t feel comfortable using the pool/ outdoor space as it was shared with the family.

The accommodation was not as private as I would have liked. The information on booking.com says "private bathroom" and "all units come with a seating area". It's not clear that the bathroom is not en-suite, and the seating area is shared with the owner's daughter and her family - including young daughter and dog (albeit a very cute dog). Breakfast was eaten at the family's dining table.

The breakfast was very good - the best French toast I've ever had! The pool area is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The owner and her son-in-law looked after us very well under difficult circumstances (Kelowna being shut down thanks to forest fires)

Parking can be a little tricky.

The location was perfect! Host was lovely. The pool was absolutely amazing as it was very hot weather. Breakfast was delicious! Views did not disappoint!

I would like to have privacy while having breakfast. I like to socialize with other guests, but not during breakfast time. And the bathroom bin was not empty the first day we got there.

The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful. The hostess was a lovely lady with a welcoming attitude. Both my wife and I really liked the breakfast. However, I would like to have some pieces of stuff available like orange juice, slices of bread, etc. But, the taste of breakfast was amazing. Overall, I really like this location and its tranquillity and amazing interior design. Very lovely location

The kitchen area and downstairs deck, which we understood were available to us, were taken over by family members. Parking was awkward. Please note that guests needed to use the stairs, which did not create problems for us but would be difficult for guests with mobility issues.

The breakfast was excellent and our hostess was very accommodating to our food requests. The shower was spacious and water was plentiful.

Our stay at Under the Tree - Bed & Breakfast exceeded all expectations. From the very first moment, the host welcomed us with such warmth and care that we instantly felt at home. The day began with an incredibly delicious breakfast, lovingly prepared—everything was fresh and tasted homemade. The host is originally from Croatia, and you could truly feel it in the atmosphere—cozy, warm, and with a subtle Mediterranean charm that we truly miss living in Canada. It was quiet, lovely, clean, and cozy—exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. A true gem—we will definitely be back!

In our many years of booking accommodation, locally and overseas, this is my worst experience ever. The website does not identify that there are two dogs on site and I have allergies. We had booked for 6 nights and left after an hour. The owner and her dog live on the same floor as our bedroom was. The owner went on about her dog being hypo allergenic but there is, of course, no such thing as 100% hypo allergenic. The other dog was only an open stairwell away. I had to book a hotel in Kelowna and was lucky to get the last room. The most irritating part of this is that booking.com/owner could easily (and should have given the circumstances) returned my money but instead she billed and kept the entire 6 nights (C$1,387.60) and I received a 'credit' for future booking.com usage of $277.52. That is just entirely backwards. Very, very annoying.

When we got to the house, the host's dog was barking at us. As we walked into the home we could smell a stench of cigarette smoke. We decided not to stay and asked the host to cancel the stay. She said that she could not do anything and that we should contact Booking.com. We contacted them and they sent an email to the host. All she needed to do was accept the email and cancel the stay. She has not done so. I would not recommend staying there.

A very lovely house with a beautiful patio where you can sit down and enjoy the mountain view while being surrounded by lovely flowers. Hosts were great and breakfast was fantastic.

The host was very kind, welcoming, and made the most delicious breakfasts! The two dogs were very sweet! The house is incredibly beautiful with decor that reminds me of the finest art museums. The memory foam bed was super comfortable and we also enjoyed swimming in the pool.

Hostess exceptional! The house was full of European art. The pool was great where we relaxed. We stored our bikes in the garage. Our room was well kept, organized, comfortable & clean.
