How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We had a very nice apartment with a balcony and a view on the forest. It was very quiet. We appreciated to have a bus pass offered to go to the city center.

The room cleaning started very early 8.30-9am onwards. There was also no safe in the room
The location was perfect and the bus passes you can use to get into town were very handy

The room has this strong spice smell. I think because the room has a small kitchen. But other than that everything else was pretty clean.
Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It could use a couple more pillows though

Our apartment was showing its age and the sofa was particularly uncomfortable for sitting on for any length of time. Layout was slightly odd in that the door opens straight into a bedroom and you walk through the bedroom to get to the kitchen, bathroom, living area and second (main) bedroom. This meant disturbing the occupants when taking an early morning walk. One point to be aware of is that the buses from town back to the resort are few and far between in the evening and were packed to the extent that some just drove past the bus stop without stopping, leaving a long gap to the next one. Not a problem for us since we just walked back but it is a decent uphill walk and for the less able-bodied or those with young children, it might be more of an issue
Good location only a 15 minute downhill walk to the centre of town. Beds comfortable and facilities were as expected. Staff on reception helpful and inclusion of bus pass was helpful. Bus stop is right outside the resort.

No air conditioning but it cools off in the mountains at night so it was fine. Kitchen could have used more serving dishes and new plastic utensils.
Location is amazing. Staff was attentive.

The loft area was warm and would not cool off even with using fans

Walking to Banff includes a large hill, you need to use the bus or drive. Pricey, but that is to be expected in Banff.
Clean and spacious. Free bus tokens were useful., close to Banff.

The fitness facility was lacking and in poor condition.

The location is far from the town, though there is a free bus. We walked in and out and it took quite a lot of time. The room was in front of a road and it was very noisy.
We liked the sized of the room, that included a small kitchen.

Carpet needs cleaning.
Room was spacious and beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was updated and had a good shower. Location was a bit far from the city hustle which was nice. You can ride the bus into the city (staff gives you a free voucher for the bus) and the stop is in front of the hotel. The kitchen was a plus. I’d stay in this property again.

There were no oven trays for use in the oven. This proved a bit of a challenge. The apartment was very pricey.
The apartment was a good size for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot and strong. There was a bath which was very welcome. The kitchen was a good design. The lounge/dining area was a good size. There was a small balcony to sit on and enjoy a drink. Parking was free. There was a pool and a laundry.
