How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

If there are other guests having loud conversations in the hallway, you can hear every word from your room. Breakfast was quite simple.
Easily accessible from the highway but the noise from the highway was not noticeable from the room at all. Super comfy mattress. Clean and newly renovated.

Rooms were very small for the prize I paid. since my travel was one day, I didnt have much luggage so it was fine.
Cleanliness was maintained. I requested for coffee in the evening, and staff prompltly brewed fresh one Location of the hotel was good too, very clode to 401 highway

Breakfast was pretty basic, especially for people with dietary restrictions. The room had a very slight musty smell to it, it could use some airing out. The floors could have been cleaner too.
Comfy bed, very clean bathroom, fantastic staff! My room even came with a microwave. Would stay here again.

Even though they offered free coffee and juice 24x7 in the lobby. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room to make coffee when you wake up. Instead of having to get dressed and go to the lobby.
Clean hotel and rooms. High work area. Would highly recommend.

I expect at least a basic channel selection. All it shows is one weather channel. First place I've stayed that doesn't provide that. The trending "use your cell to mirror etc"" is offered with warning unsecured connection may compromise passwords so No thanks - digital nerds may not care but I am hacker-paranoid. Like the TV alarm tho. No coffee- maker or a kettle, you have to go to the breakfast room to get your tea/coffee fix, so I used the microwave. Ice bucket provided but bring your own bottle opener or get one at the dollar store. Front desk did have an opener. I do wish the no-yes-exceeded included "mostly or somewhat" because this was a somewhat. The only reason I stayed here was because of the free tall ship special shuttle service; so best suited for unfussy short-stay visitors with cars, who like basic, clean accommodation.
An attractive, minimalist place, focus on comfortable, somewhat self-sufficient efficiency. Think of an Ikea-type place. Good stuff: spotlessly clean, quite comfortable king bed, iron/board, decent mini-fridge and microwave, large TV. Very good temp control and lighting. Much appreciated charging pad. Basic closet, bedside/desk table w/chair , no other storage. Bathroom: double shower. Nice quantity of body/hair products/towels, dryer. Kinda cool you can switch the large touch mirror to a make-up mode. General: common room for North American style continental breakfast and a basic tuck area. I used neither. Food Basics grocery store, chain restaurants, dollar store easy walking distance. No problem getting around if you have a car - note limited first come first served parking - but I arrived by train so taxi, uber your options altho I did see a local bus in the area. Quiet area. Very nice staff from front desk to housekeeping.

Not enough serving utensils at the breakfast. One set of tongs for eggs and sausage. I have food allergies and the girl was new and did not know where to find more and after I spoke to her she still used the same tongs for refilling both.

You could tell it was an older property that was “freshened up” but I am pretty sure that was reflected in the price because the price was great.
