There can be issues with sound if any of the other guests are rowdy or depart super-early in the morning. It's an authentic old house with wood floors.

The location was good...walking distance to the busy Water St. area, but calmer place to stay. A classic home with traditional decor, it was comfortable and safe. My host was warmly responsive with any questions. It is the kind of place I like to stay in when visiting a new city - homey and friendly.

Breakfast was pretty much the same both mornings. Pillows are very soft even when they're all piled up.

Stayed in queen and single room with en suite (Lushes Bight) which was bright and nicely furnished .Well maintained heritage home. Wifi worked well. Easy keyless check in and out process. Keypad room access made me feel my stuff was secure. Bed was comfortable.

    There was nothing.

The room was really two joined together so v generous with big beds at separate ends and a settee area in the middle. There was a separate fully eqiuipped kitchen totally for our use so ideal if you are self catering. Breakfast (included) was lovingly cooked to order by Norman and there were plenty of healthy options. The overnight granola was delicious! Location was good up a couple of levels from Water Lane with steep walks down.

Lots of stairs to top floor room and breakfast area, was fine for us but might not suit everyone.

Central town location so easy walking to sights and services but in heritage area so quirky feel. Very comfortable, clean and friendly and enjoyed our breakfasts.

    Nothing to complain really

I haven't actually met the staff in person, but everything was well organised for my arrival and during my stay. Breakfast was included but not available. However, they provided gift cards for the wonderful coffee shop next door and delicious warm croissants and cookies every morning. Location is great, room very cosy and clean.

Norm's scrambled eggs were awful. I couldn't eat them. There were chunks like hard-boiled eggs in them with the grey colour that you see around the yolk. Very unappetizing looking. The ham was very dry. Toast, granola yogurt fruit cup, and bacon were great. My friend enjoyed the frittata. We were disappointed there was no fridge in our second room (Lushes Bight). The light above the twin bed is very hard to reach (unless you are very tall). Little Ships Ease could use a suitcase stand. Bedside tables are helpful since many people use CPAP machines.

Norm is so very personable. He is a gem. Carol was very accommodating when our plans changed and made arrangements for us to have help with our bags when we changed rooms. This was very much appreciated. Our first room (Little Ships Ease) had a small fridge. It also had a hook on the wall by the tub to hang your towel and shampoo and conditioner were provided.

We were a bit disappointed in our breakfast on our first morning. We arrived at the dining room at 8:20 am. Our chef (Rene) advised there were only pancakes left. Our preference would have been eggs, bacon, etc. She did her best and made pancakes for us. She was very lovely. Our second morning was great with the regular chef and lots of menu options. I can't recall his name!! We didn't have any unpleasant experiences at all!

Excellent location. We loved the old building and large room/suite we had (#10). The beds were very comfortable. The back entrance was handy to bring in our luggage. I'm glad we didn't have to carry them up to the top level! We utilized the outdoor deck for a glass of wine in the evening.

We liked everything. One thing to note though (but not an issue for us) is that the place is a 10 min walk to the centre...but that also gave us some exercise and we discovered different things each time we left and returned.

The room exceeded our expectations. It was very tastefully decorated and larger than we expected. It made the whole room comfortable, so much so that we decided to stay in one evening and just relax there. The WIFI was more than sufficient for streaming and the breakfast (and cook) were excellent.
