You could say some restoration to enhance the the era but otherwise nothing

Historical, location, ease of checking in, nicely decorated and the small things like coffee and cream in the fridge etc. those small things make a big difference in first impressions

Unfortunately the room is a little run down... hole in the wall, peeled wall paper, Television not working, keurig not working. BUT , very clean and bed is super comfy.

Love the location... beautiful waterfront. I love the historical references and the decor. Owner was amazing to help me out in a pinch with dates. I was sick and he graciously moved it off a couple days when I asked, which he did not have to do.

Poorly maintained, especially outside and the bathroom in the garden suite. Too may signs and indications. It seems like the owner just got a new lettering machine for his birthday. Very strange policy on pets. Instead, maybe he should not allow any pets. Smell of sewer in the entrance. The notes on the history of the building go into too many personal details on the life of the present owner (divorce, ect...). A bit strange and creepy...

The site itself and the history of it.

We booked and paid for a whole house outbuilding but when we arrived, we found out it wasn’t available and were put in a room in the main building. Also check in instructions never came so we had a confusing 10 minute wait at the property until someone finally answered the phone.

    Very cool old timey vibes

We called the day we were due to arrive saying that with a sudden 15 cm snowfall and warnings from the highway department, we shouldn't be on the roads. We asked if we could come for the second day then add another to make up for the first which we could not get to. The owner said that he would stick to the five days of cancellation policy, so we lost $200. When we got there, we never met another resident within the building and we were the only car in the parking lot, so we wondered why we were denied the extra day for which we had paid.

Never met any staff so difficult to answer. We found a vacuum cleaner standing in the hallway. Must have been an oversight.

I understand it’s an old property and some of these issues are because of that. Couldn’t switch on the tv and couldn’t find outlets close to the bed. Did not want to touch the temp controllers in case I broke something. Not the property’s fault as such, but there were a lot of people outside smoking and the smoke smell came through the windows to my room.

It needs a deep clean. I happened to see under the bed and there were dust bunnies. The brocade above the bed is super dusty. Two of the three blinds worked properly. Don't reserve the main floor Parlour Suite because it's noisy. You hear all the street noise, including conversations of people walking by and the suite door is right at the main entrance so we heard all comings and goings.

Location was very good. It has an antique decor which is appealing.

They pretend to be pet friendly but they will prefer not having dogs. See picture of their lovely sign, nothing on their website or on Booking. At this point, just change to not pet friendly. I would have booked somewhere if I had know. NO complimentary cream or milk as advertised Fausset in the shower is spashing everywhere, you have to dry all the floors after. Patio Door and walls are dirty. I expected way better for more than 200$ per night. I don't think we will come back

I only found some small things, nothing that affected our stay. The dishwasher fell out of its compartment twice and we had to rest it on our toes so it didnt completely fall out.We were left with just over one roll of toilet paper for six and one roll of paper towel.Neither was enough so purchased our own.The front stoop wasnt cleared of snow so my son did it and the parking lot was a little icy.

The Suite was Beautiful. It was very spacious and comfortable. It was the perfect location for what we did.The history of the building was very interesting. It had everything we needed.

Having a little kitchenette was great, because we were able to make our own snacks and breakfast. However, it was very tiny and could use to have a large cutting board to place over the sink to increase the workspace. Housekeeping in the corners, nooks and crannies could have been better, and there was a need for some maintenance in the unit, so that did take away from the WOW factor for us.

What an absolutely beautiful find! Built in 1840, the decor is true to those Victorian times and is lovely. We booked the Garden Suite, so that we would have our own entrance, making it easier to take our dog out for walks, and it was perfect for us. The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of bedding and pillows. The added amenities of tea and coffee (see the website www.noblesuites.com for more details) made our stay just that much better. Hence the 4 stars for the room. We only had one night at the Suites but would stay again if these things are addressed. If you love heritage buildings and period design, don't miss this place. It's with walking distance of all of the historic downtown and many restaurants.

I didn't like that you could hear the people walking above us quite well. Also you could hear people talking and a dog barking like,e it was right in our room..The bedroom offered no sound buffer as well.

The owner was a truly wonderful host.Very attentive and professional. The key was not left in my door for me as planned however I contacted Mr.Nobel and he was able to get me into my room in less than 10 minutes.Very impressive. I will definitely stay in the garden sweet again.very unique and cosy. The only minor complaint is that they are not sound proffed very well.We could hear the people above us very well and a dog barking .Also the room on the others ide of our bedroom was not sound proffed at all, quite loud.I would definitely go back as it was a very cool place.
