Only very small quibble was the shower head. It didn't provide much of a spray given the water pressure.

Handy to downtown Canmore. Very clean and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Sound insulation was good, some train noise but otherwise very quiet. Room was large and well furnished. Common area was very nice.

The tight parking - around the back to turn was not possible - but understandable to fit enough cars they had to be tight.

Nice property - really liked the location, property, room and little lounge area. Parking a little tight but spots all around the building. Sauna a nice amenity -didn’t get hot enough (but we were just in Norway where their saunas are hot!)

Staff did not clarify what was the resort property and hotel property until later on during our stay; check in took longer as my wife and I had to navigate the confusion.

Stayed here to avoid paying for Banff priced hotels during the weekend of the Banff pow wow. Had a clean & comfortable stay. Enjoying Netflix and YouTube on the smart tv was a plus!

If your room is on the ground floor you will be looking out onto the parking lot, which fully surrounds the building. We frequently had people walking right by one of our windows, and thus had to keep it shut. We were located in a back corner of the building, so while we could definitely see the mountains, we also had an up-close view of a dumpster and the trains that seem to pass behind the hotel every hour or so. Luckily, the town seems to be in a quiet zone, so the trains never blew their horns. The hotel provides earplugs just in case, but I honestly found the gentle rocking sound of the trains passing by peaceful. Another drawback of this hotel is the parking situation. Most of the parking spaces are very small, and state that they are for compact cars (which was luckily what we were driving). There are only a few spots in front of the building for SUVs and trucks. However, it seemed that was what most of the guests were driving, so parking was always incredibly tight. Lastly, aside from what appeared to be two guest rooms on the top floor, this hotel has no outside space. I get that the building lot is likely too small for every room to have a balcony (especially given the already small parking lot), but I wish there was at least a common outdoor area where guests could sit and relax, and enjoy the mountain views. It is too nice in the summer to be cooped up in your room, and sometimes you just want to sit and read a book!

This hotel is decently located. It is outside the downtown area, closer to the highway, which makes it much easier and faster to get out of town (since you're likely headed for Banff, Lake Louise, or a hike if you're staying here). It does, however, mean that if you want to go downtown, you're facing a 10 minute walk. Our room was a good size, with plenty of outlets and ample floor space to store luggage. It was also stylishly decorated and clean, and had a huge bed. I liked that it had a mini fridge, coffee machine (though I did have to request more coffee pods since housekeeping only comes in during your stay if you specifically request it), and a full-length mirror. The shower was fantastic, with the best water pressure I've ever experienced. Our room was located on a corner, so it likely would have been bright and had lots of natural light (and a great view of the mountains) if we hadn't been on the ground floor off the parking lot, and thus forced to keep our curtains closed for privacy. I also liked that instead of a key, the doors to each room have a keypad. Lastly, the hotel has a sauna on the second floor that is free for guests to use, which was a nice bonus.

Staff were very helpful orienting me to town. I love their community room, very bright chairs, tables, couch, fireplace. Great place to read, chat, relax. I also took advantage of the sauna they have open until 10.

The sound of the Canada Pacific train with over 160 cars passing by right outside the window every hour 24/7.

It would be helpful to raise the driveway level near the drainage grate on the south side of the building. Risky for damage to tires!

If you're arriving by truck, you'll have to hope there's a free spot right in front of the main entrance.

My stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and there was even a sauna available. However, what truly stood out were the two receptionists – incredibly friendly, welcoming, and highly competent! Many thanks for the excellent service!

Upon self check-in the door to our assigned unit was open. Anyone could have and may have (we don't know) walked right into our room. It was a bit unnerving for both my mom and I ; more so her. 🙁
