The shortcomings of the hotel (no elevator) are not the fault of the staff but an area for improvement by the Cedars Inn. If I was making a reservation again I would insist on being on the ground floor for accessibility. I don't know how they'd make up for the breakfast coupon being a drive away (and a guest not having a car). I was lucky to have local friends to help. Overall the kindness of their staff made up for the lack of accessibility.

The Cedar Inn was almost fully booked so I was fortunate to get ANY accommodation. However I was not expecting to be on the second floor without any elevator (necessary for my disability). Nonetheless, the staff were very helpful to make me comfortable. The reception clerk kindly escorted me to my room which was up two flights of stairs and down some winding corridors. My friends offered to bring me breakfast for the next day as I didn't have a car to redeem the coupon provided by the hotel. On check out the hotel staff helped with my bag and to navigate safely to the front office.

The fan in our bathroom didn’t work. And we would have really liked it if the hot tub would have been open later, at least until 10/11 pm. Also, if you’re looking to spend a lot of your time in Vancouver, be prepared for the extra time and expense involved with taking the ferry.

Clean, loved the small kitchenette! The breakfast coupons for Tim Hortons were a really nice perk.

It would have been good if the pool is heated like before. Its disappointing for me and the kids we were looking forward to swim but it was pretty cold.

I like the location its close to almost everything.

The property is dated, but it appears some effort is being put into beautifying the property.

Location to amenities. Lots of good restaurants near by to walk to. The room was very large, located on the main floor.

The bed is pretty hard. It’s also a bit on the pricey side overall but I think that’s probably true of the whole area.

The room was pretty spacious with a little kitchenette and a Keurig coffee maker. It was clean and well kept. A small free breakfast is included at the local Tim Hortons which we don’t use, but it’s a nice thought. They also water the Flowers’s every day and there’s a team doing painting and maintenance which I always think is a good sign.

Cant open the windows in the room, it was really hot while we were there and whilst the air con unit helped, it would've been nice to open the window. We were only given a breakfast voucher for one of our 2 nights.

Did not like the free breakfast option to get at a local Tim Hortons with a 10 min walk every morning, breakfast at Tim Hortons was limited to only one choice of sandwich, drink and was not unlimited, so we had to purchase extra meal for breakfast; this inconvenience is not mentioned in the Booking.Com website Advertisement. Secondly, the building is pretty old and the exterior was not taken care and looks like a 1 Star hotel from outside with no elegance. From Booking.com, I could not understand this hotel was so old. Having said that the interior was relatively well-maintained. The electrical system is pretty old and tripped once because of excess load. The Bathroom was clean but all accessories were from the 1980s and is not fit for modern usage, even though they worked fine. The charges per night is not commensurate with the facility. Money spent was not fully worth.

Cleanliness, prompt Staff actions on complaints, free parking facility, hot water tubb, attached balcony, Furniture was okay and maintained and beds were comfortable.

Being charged for a hand towel that was “stained” from make up. To me this goes hand in hand with wear and tear. I am not sure why bleach isn’t being used to clean linens… ? This felt like a cash grab and was tacky, especially as my wedding brought thousands of dollars to the hotel over the weekend.

The beds are hard and thin, the pillows are heaven tho. The shower head is ancient and sprayed everywhere, the shower curtain falls to the middle from both sides, very easy to flood out the floor. No elevator to second floor

Lighting in room was poor, no elevator in the hotel so we had to drag our heavy suitcase upstairs. We weren’t informed in advance of the $100 security deposit which I found to be way too extreme.

Room was exceptionally clean. Staff on premises was very helpful & friendly. Hotel was centrally located.

The after hour check in process was absolutely ridiculous. On the day of check-in, they called to tell me that I had to fill out a form (while traveling) that wasn't a electronic form. Had to figure out how to do it from my phone. After this from filling out, I had to take/make 2-3 phone calls from the hotel as part of their process for credit card charging. It was just super onerous and so incovenient when traveling. Prior to the day of, I indicated on my registration I would be a late check-in. I messaged to ensure they knew. They wrote back saying to call the hotel. I did. They said I need to call on the day of. They emailed me weeks later saying I need to contact the hotel. I called again and they told me again to call on the day of. It was the most ridiculous process and no one seemed to be keeping track of my inquiry process. The shower mat was super dirty, it really grossed me out.

Great location. Voucher for Tim Hortons for breakfast was great! Good parking for large vehicles.
