We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaIt is full of weekly and monthly renters, and I got stuck in a room in between all of them. They hang out, make noise, dudes up at 6 am sitting outside chatting like they are in a pub at 10 pm ... got almost no sleep, so it really sucked. I've stayed before in a different section. The should have completely different areas for long term rentals, and people passing through just wanting a good night sleep

SingaporeThe lobby smelled SO MUCH like smoke when I walked in, I thought I'd choke. The appliances in the room have wires that are <2 ft long and plug points are scarce. So I needed to put things like the coffee machine and the microwave on the floor to be able to connect them and use them, huge flaw. Walls are also extremely thin, can hear everything from the rooms next door. The tv won't turn on unless the lights are on, bizarre connection/wiring issue that needs to be looked at.
Easy to find, huge room, Aircon got nice and cold. The staff are generally nice.

CanadaNoisy people above the room. Noisy traffic on road beside the room. Booking.com sucks the most because of their refund policy. It’s pretty sad that when I provide more than 24 hours notice of cancellation, I CANNOT get any money back
Not much actually. There were homeless people within 10 feet of my front door. It’s pretty bad when you have to have a weapon within arms reach when going to bed at night. I really liked when I left the place.

CanadaThere were a few wasps in the room. About six or seven. Ientioned it at checkout and they sent a guy up there right away to investigate.
No surprises. I got exactly what I paid for. The room was clean, spacious. Comfortable beds. The shower was good. I was pleased to find out they had breakfast included with the price. Food was great!
