How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Only negative was the laundry, only 2 machines, one was not working and the other one was only partially working. Easy fix
Room was very spacious, staff very friendly, especially front desk. Great location and reasonably priced, 2 restaurants attached one 24/7.

Very slow check in process. Staff were not helpful with questions and had to remind reception multiple times about a late check out.
The room was spacious and had great amenities. The restaurant onsite had 10/10 meals. Denny’s room service for breakfast.

The tv channels were garbage and half of them didn't work.
The bed was comfortable, the establishment was clean, the staff were great. The location is good with moxies and dennys in the same parking lot.

Great location, lovely staff, nice rooms. Hotel was quite warm. Room was clean but didn’t smell the best. Personal preference -would have liked some average-thin pillows. Still had a great sleep. Would recommend and stay again.

We don't have anything bad to stay, the Sandman provided us a great stop over on our way west.

The hot tub wasn’t working. Garbage was overflowing in the bin in the front driveway.

This would be out of the control of the hotel and staff so it is not a reflection on them. There were adults and kids yelling in the hallway up until and slightly past midnight, almost constantly. At 2:15am, another adult in the hallway loudly vocally expressing themselves until almost 2:30am. On a more positive note, most guests or children were friendly and polite while passing in the hallways and stairways. I can only imagine how challenging and stressful it would be to be displaced by fire and attempt to live in and entertain children in a hotel for weeks. We got up at 6am, had a relaxing breakfast downstairs, packed up and left by 7:30/8am. Again, this is not a norm experienced in past stays. Just simply mentioning so others are aware of what they may need to contend with at this moment.
Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful same as last time I stayed. Super convenient to have restaurants beside the hotel. Stores and a Tim’s across the street within walking distance.

One bedside light didn't work, the a/c was a little difficult to operate, and the wi-fi not the most dependable. Some guests may not like there is no breakfast, but there is a Denny's right next door...
Overall, a fine, dependable hotel we 'll likely return to for a short family visit like this one. The price was more than reasonable, the accommodations clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the pool a godsend for a morning swim.

The hot tub was not working and it was hard to find the right phone number to get directly to the hotel (rather than the universal Sandman Hotel Group) to ask whether it was working or not. This might be an app issue rather than a hotel issue! The hotel did tell us it that the hot tub was not working before we booked. The bathtub in the room also drained so slowly that my feet were left in water. When we advised the front desk, they acted upon it.
Clean! Staff is responsive and friendly.

It was a little pricey for a one night stay. The hallway door had a large gap on the bottom. We had to put a towel in front of it to keep the light and sound out of the room.

The suite my wife and I stayed in was exceptionally comfortable and offered an environment of tranquility and privacy. The hotel is located a few feet away from Moxies Denny’s Restaurants to add to its convenience.

The bathtub is very difficult to get into and out of and I’m physically fit. Seriously, it is dangerous! Bathroom sink area is extremely small! Sign needs to be put up near grassy area at rear saying, “Pick up your dog’s poop!”
