How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The cleanliness. Sticky, small stains on the surfaces, and on one of the arms of the pullout couch. The coffee maker had not been cleaned or even dusted for a while, the microwave had splatters, the mini fridge had not been cleaned and you could see under it a pink dried mass that looked like dried out strawberry ice cream. I alerted the concierge and I sent pictures to the customer service. They sent housekeeping for some "deep cleaning" while I was out getting some groceries. I went back and I noticed that they had made a poor effort in general but the fridge area was not touched. I called the front desk and they send housekeeping while I was in the room. They wetted a towel in the bathrooms sink to wipe the area and I had to hold my phone flash light so they can see. At that point I asked for some wipes so I can disinfect/ clean the rest of the surfaces. Good place, poor housekeeping.
Most of the staff and the comfortable, clean bed.

I did not like that I was offered an upgrade to my room (via email), accepted the offer, then when checking in was told that room was not available. You should honor the offered upgrades if a guest accepts the upgrade.

The pool. The pool area needed more exhaust fans as the chlorine was toxic and the water from the pool area was going into the hall way which most likely ruin the carpet and flooring. There wasn’t enough space in the pool area for guest as it was a bit overcrowded and unwelcoming- should have a booking system in place where you can schedule your pool visits

My AC unit wasn't working for the most part. And my curtains were broken so I wasn't able to close them all the way. None of the vending machines were working. I wish that there was an indication somewhere of the 8pm cut off time for ordering breakfast boxes. Or even an ask at check-in about whether or not I would want to have breakfasts during my stay. So that I could have it taken care of and not have to remember every evening after a long day at the office.
The pool and spa were nice. The beds were comfy. The staff is very friendly. The room was quiet I was able to sleep very soundly. I like how you need to swipe your card to get the elevator to move. Very safe and secure.

No breakfast included. Online it says they charge $20 per night per pet when we get there. The staff told us it was $25 per night per pet by the time we were checking out we got charged $30 per pet per night. Also, in the room where we stayed the first sheet of the bed was with stains and dirty.

They adjusted to our stay with our pets by having our room right next to the stairwell so as to not disturb any guests and dogs were relaxed and comfortable.

Only thing could have been better,waiting at front desk could have been shorter but was still efficient.
Always get lost in Calgary.Food at Moxies was very good,steak and service at adjoining steakhouse excellent.Room was fantastic.Will be staying again.

It was dirty in places. One cup had hairs on, the fridge was dirty and the seals littered with crumbs, bath tub had one hair stuck on the wall and the window sill was super dusty with with dead moths . Bedding and towels were spotless though!
The bed was super comfy, the hotel was peaceful with little noise. The lay out of the rooms works well. The deep bath tub was superb. The staff were attentive and professional upon arrival. Good location.

The beds were smaller than we are used to. The room was narrow at the entrance, so unloading and reloading luggage was a hassle.
The location to the airport was perfect. The beds were comfortable. Kids went for a swim in the indoor pool.
