How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hot tub lacked and pressure when turned on. It was more like a bathtub. We were really looking forward to using it after a long drove.
It was pet friendly amd the front desk staff made us feel welcome.

Air conditioning unit in main room our our hotel room was quite loud, and must be on constantly otherwise gets way too hot. The pool indoor courtyard area is like a sauna, way too hot to really enjoy, luckily the main pool was cool enough to be refreshing (hot tub water was good temp but not great - not clear and a bit smelly). Seems all the hotel unit air conditioning units push the hot air from the units into the pool courtyard area thus why it's so hot. In the hotel room we had with the 3 beds, two of the beds were in a separate room which was great but it didn't have a window or any air flow, so was hot. Pool didn't have any towels so had to go to front desk, they were great and replenished but this lack of attention to detail is important for the guest experience. Continental breakfast is very basic but nice to have if you're a basic light eater. Only thing missing from my perspective is a brown/whole wheat bread option, everything was based on white bread.
Room was great and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Booked the 3 bed room which was great as I have my two kids tag along.

The hotel itself is a bit dated with a muggy, hot pool area.
This was a nice stop-over on our road trip. We loved doing the sculpture walk, which the front desk assistant was very kind to explain to us.

Air conditioning was very loud. We were 3rd floor newly renovated over looking the pool. Room was very humid. Not a great sleep. Up charge for the basic continental breakfast , McDonalds is across the street and cheaper.
Very clean, comfortable beds. Excellent staff!!

The restaurant/lounge facility hasn't been open in years. It would be nice if it was.
It was a good shower and bed for the night. One guest laundry for the entire facility isn't great, but better than none. Seems like remodeling is being done on the rooms. It is an older facility so good to see.

Apart for the bathrooms the hotel is very dated, the rooms are dark and the air conditioning is very loud.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, updated bathrooms are great.

I missed a restaurant in the hotel, which would have given it extra flair.
I loved the location, within walking distance to main restaurants/shops, etc. I also enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi area which was well maintained. I loved the friendly staff and the complimentary coffee/fruit in the lobby area.

The whole building is in need of upgrading to bring it up to standards.

Bit noisy from road and train noise.
Great hotel for quick stopover on our way back to Vancouver. The family suite has x3 double beds and plenty of room for luggage.

Hotel is dated. Rooms poor condition, furniture dirty and stained. LEDs lamps in bathroom so weak couldn't hardly see to shower. Wallpaper torn in several locations. Poor shape for a chain Hotel like Sandman!

The property was good, there were a lot of hockey families that night so it was pretty noisy, especially in the pool area.

this place looks nice on the out side and lobby areas, the room is dated and beds are older, it was good for what we needed for our stay and comfortable enough
