Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaIssue with booking.com ….. issues with lack of communication between the hotel and booking.com. Incredibly difficult to deal with booking.com and hotel as hotel charged us for original booking even though we had made changes with the booking. We are not in a position to eat over $700 in charges as a “ no show” even though we had been approved for the change. The web site is almost impossible to find a contact phone number for booking.com. The hotel front desk was able to assist us in getting us a phone number for customer service.

Czech Republic- The room was (for the price) a little "used" - some refurbishments would be good - little noisy on the evening - no houskeeping (I have told to the cleaning lady, that I am leaving for couple hours so that she can clean the room and when I returned, noone touched anything, even the trash cans were not touched).

IsraelI did not like the smell of the hotel, on the ground floor, there was some work in progress. I only found one elevator, and it was not sufficient for many guests.
Check-in and check-out were quick. I liked breakfast. The WiFi signal was good. There is a large parking in front of the hotel.
