Everything was great!

This is always our favourite place to stay in Courtenay! We like the cookies in the lobby, the nice staff, and the comfortable beds. I tried out the fitness centre on this trip, and it is about twice the size of the previous fitness centre that I remember from years ago.

Bed was a bit firm. But that’s just a personal preference. A few thinner pillows would be good. Having reminders for people using the pool to be mindful of their volume would be helpful as some people were extremely loud. Room service would be nice to have.

It was lovely being on the river path. The coffee maker and kitchenette were such a nice treat. And real cream! Free guest laundry was a nice bonus. Loved having a patio door to the outside. Very nice staff who upgraded my friend for one night due to noise. Locals restaurant was great! Pricey but delicious. Nice ambience.

Loved all the extras: handwritten card and complimentary chocolate in the room, cream and sugar for the nespresso coffee in the rooms, coffee machine in the lobby with whole beans making everything from americanos to lattes. The wall mounted makeup mirrors in the bathrooms were also a nice touch. Pool and hot tub were well maintained and a pleasure at the end of the days. Staff were all friendly and informative as well.

The trail nearby was nice but saw two groups doing drugs right on the trail . Clearly part of a larger issue not related to , or able to be controlled by, the hotel but good to be aware of if using the pathway during your stay.

They could use some garbage cans on the property as this is a per friendly resort. Also, it’s a bit pricy. The Notary office in the middle of the resort was odd.

Clean, nice pool/hot tub, loved the cookie/fruit & coffee/tea bar in the lobby. Kitchen was equipped with all needed. Very nice property grounds & restaurant.

There were young kids upstairs that got up at 7am and made a ton of noise. I think the parents thought if they put them on the porch the noise wouldn’t go through, but it did. When i mentioned it to management, they let me know they had already approached them as i was calling. So i was happy they were trying to be proactive before i called. I wish there were some grab-and-go breakfast items available since you really have to get out a track down breakfast in that location.

We stayed in The Maple building. Suite was an excellent deal via booking.com. I think the full seasonal price would have been above my budget. The adjacent restaurant was excellent - better dessert menu than most restaurants. Bathtub and shower were great. Good coffee machine, nice to have cream in fridge. Pool and hot tub were clear clean and inviting. I wish pool was a bit bigger in order to get a few strokes in.

Cleaning services are available upon request... After three days we asked specifically to change towels and remove garbage bins between 11 and 17 when we were out on hiking. When we came back after 19, nothing was changed. I had to call front desk and ask again; 10-15 minutes later, frond desk staff brought the towels and took the garbage out.

Great location, the hotel is beautiful, very well stocked kitchen -you can cook there. The sofa bed is very good and convenient if you visit with kids. Amazing Coffee (unfortunately the first few days the coffee machine didn't work at maple building and we had to go to the main Cedar building; it was fixed later). The front desk ladies are very nice and pleasant to communicate with.

Beautiful quit location right downtown. Close to restaurants and trails. Coffee and fruit available ‘round the clock. Pool and hot tub were fabulous. Local’s restaurant was amazing.

Unfortunately the Chargepoint EV chargers were not working (issues with the App) and hotel staff were not able to assist - apparently this is a Chargepoint issue and they cannot troubleshoot.

Beds were comfortable, rooms and amenities were clean and in good condition, Staff was friendly and helpful. While the hotel was full, it was quiet and never felt busy.

Pillows were excellent, room was quiet, spacious and well equipped. The AC worked well.
