We loved the location and the quaint, welcoming atmosphere. We loved the nautical theme and artwork. Also the location was perfect and within walking distance of attractions.

So many stairs, Limited menu Asian or fried foods.

It was a nice, clean hotel with comfortable beds and pillows. Good water pressure.

Front end staff were awesome upon arrival, but seemed annoyed at any requests for food or towels for the remainder of our stay (2 nights) Food was nothing to be desired, when it was actually available. There was a small space of time to eat, and the following night, there were no food options available on site. The walls were very thin. We will look for other options for accommodation next time we are in town.

Lovely set on the water, quiet and peaceful. The top room feels like being tucked in a cozy cabin on a cruise ship, with balcony, views, light. Perfect. Hotel staff and manager were helpful and made my stay memorable. Thank you

The restaurant area iis convenient (and food was good) but could probably benefit from slightly better arrangement to make it more inviting. The outdoor area is great though

Unique experience in remote Alert Bay, with an interesting and entertaining gardener, chef and proprietor who shared her local knowledge with candour. She made our visit all the more meaningful.

We watched humpback whales from the deck. Room was large.

This was a great place to stay, the ocean views were incredible. Location was fantastic. You can walk all the way across the island and get a bite at one of the few restaurants or coffee shop.

The room was small and cozy. It's definitely an old original building. If you didn't know that going in.

Great location and well kept

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome , treated more like returning friends than new acquaintances. A stunning location . We had the quadruple room as we were travelling as a mother daughter combo A super comfy large clean room with 2 distinct sleeping areas and spectacular views . Will, one half of the owner duo was really friendly and helpful . Tina who takes care of housekeeping and is also a constant in the restaurant is a lovely young woman - efficient and friendly always helpful and with a ready laugh and smile . All 3 of the meals that we ate in the restaurant were very tasty- not a huge menu but perfectly adequate and they were happy to adapt for plant based preferences . We started by booking 1 night, then read about the island and extended to 2 . We loved the island and the hotel so much we then extended to 3 . Highly recommended

The absolutely only thing that could be improved on was the breakfast - a bigger choice of yoghurt to include plain , some berries and some nuts/seeds/ granola . A plant based yoghurt option maybe and definitely plant based milk .

Good complimentary breakfast including fresh baked bread and muffins. Unlimited coffee and tea 24 hours. Wonderful views. Excellent food in bar

Nothing that the owner could have influenced - traffic noise

The breakfast room on the water had lovely views. Pillows and bed were comfortable

Continental breakfast was limited. Heavy focus on toast. Some instant oatmeal and granola would have been appreciated and recommend supporting local roasters for coffee over the American Costco Kirkland brand.

The breakfast seemed rather weak. Maybe some cereal added to the menu and fresh croissants or bagels and cheeses.. More fresh fruit or maybe a fruit salad. There were no knives and no one at the desk to ask.

Continental breakfast was excellent it was there all prepared so you could just help yourself and be on your way. Captain Will and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. We loved the Honeymoon Suite!
