Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South KoreaIt was a hotel, but it felt more like a guesthouse. I could lock the door to my private room, but it seemed a bit weak, which worried me, and there was no locker/safe inside the room.

CanadaNo soap to wash hands. Rooms got hot and no air. Breakfast staff didn't show up at 7am and couldn't get breakfast. Showers are small and bathrooms need to be cleaned and swept daily and more frequently. Prices of room went up making it a little overpriced Could use a small lamp or night light in rooms. Didnt know there was a beach nearby
Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast. Could use a garbage in the rooms. Kitchen was useful. Enjoyed the patio once I knew where to find it. Staff friendly. Close to subway grocery stores and park

CanadaTemperature in the room was extreme, they supplied a fan which helped but it was far from a comfortable sleeping temperature. The bathroom needs a garbage can, soap dispenser, and hand towel.
Good location, the staff where all very accomodating and kind, breakfast is a really nice addition (it is basic foods but saves on cost going elsewhere), the rooftop patio area was my fav place to hang out because the room was too hot to sit in especially with the afternoon sun.

New ZealandBlunder on our behalf, but the rooms only have a fan. It was stinking hot ALL THE TIME! Kitchen provided but no utensils, not even a knife and fork!
The breakfast exceeded our expectations. We always walked away satisfied and full! The room was spacious and had a shared kitchen.

United KingdomGood size single room with a desk (often absent in small, budget hotel rooms), and plenty of power outlets. Shared bathroom was clean, and not shared between too many. Excellent downtown location. Overall, extremely good value at the price.

United KingdomI think the Hotel needs to make it much clearer when people book how much deposit needs to be paid when checking in. I didn't see anything on their website about a deposit and only found out it was $150 when I arrived. Also, they need to make it clear if the deposit it withdrawn from people's bank account immediately. When I left i had problems finding out when the deposit was to be returned and when checking my back statement I could see no record of the deposit being withdrawn so what is the deposit process at the hotel EXACTLY! This must be made clear for future visits by me or other people.
The breakfast was healthy. The location is brilliant as it's just a few minutes walk away from Young and Dundas and The Eaton Centre

IrelandThe rooms are very hot and stuffy but there is a large fan in the room. Breakfast is very disappointing and I would recommend skipping as its 5 items most of which are sweet north american style breads.
The location is great for downtown and it is what it sells itself as, cheap and not really a hotel. It's worth a stay if you're on a tight budget and want someone accessible to downtown. It's very close to a subway stop if you have baggage.

ChileThe room wasn’t really soundproof so you can hear people walking outside your door and the doors closing.

United StatesNo vibe because it is just poor student housing. Bed was too small and I am short. Elevators take ages.
Cheap enough place for a night or 2. Clean bathroom, common area and kitchen. Ok for a “free breakfast” to grab some snacks for your day. Had good security and close to a large supermarket

United KingdomThe breakfast was quite lacklustre, and only consisted of bagels and muffins. You are also only limited to 5 items, including a cup of tea or coffee. There's nil utensils in the shared dormitory kitchens, so you can't cook or heat up your own food. I also thought the refundable security deposit of $150 was very steep, especially since I was only staying for one night, and it was more than the room actually cost me!
It's essentially a student room in university halls, but has all you need, including a bed and desk and space to hang up clothes. The privacy aspect was nice, and the WiFi was decent (I was able to carry out an online job interview with no interruptions or loud noises). Shared bathrooms were clean and vacant when needed. The location wasn't too bad; approximately a 5-10 min walk from nearest bus stop / train station / supermarket. Lovely and helpful staff at the front desk.

United KingdomThe lifts are a bit cumbersome but its a minor negative. Some herbert took my coke bottle from the communal fridge, not the hotels fault though.
I stayed here before 2 years ago, and nothing has changed. Its very basic but that is reflected in the price, the location is excellent, its great value for money. A no thrills base to stay and get your head down, a decent breakfast is provided. This is not for young families or those with a `peel me a grape` attitude towards life. It does what it says on the tin, and very well.
