How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Could possibly have used an extra pillow or two, but frankly there were five for the five of us, so really can't complain! It was a really enjoyable stay!
Our family of five needed emergency accommodation after the TransCanada highway closed due to a crash. We found Mountain Springs Hotel right away on Booking.com and it perfectly accommodated our make-up of couple, grandma, and two teens. The two private bedrooms in this room were ideal to accommodate all our needs. Steve was so kind welcoming us when we were quite stressed-out with this unexpected rerouting. We were completely comfortable overnight and then enjoyed our in-room coffee machine coffee out on the deck watching the early morning deer graze out front. I would recommend this to anyone and would love to come back on another vacation! (Also recommend the Big Horn Cafe up the street for morning pastries)

The bed was quite hard, only 1 plug-in by the bed, the room was quite small and the place was old although it was evident that some modernizations had been done.
Good location, easy to find, the owner/ manager was friendly and helpful.

Couldn't get the TV to work, but not a big deal as we got in late
Very clean, and comfortable, good bedding, pillows etc. Like the location off highway, quiet. Our 3rd time staying here, so obviously happy with it

Stayed in room 7 - the curtains were too small to cover the window. There was a 8" gap on both sides and a 10" gap in the middle which offered no privacy. Not to mention it doesn't get dark until 11 pm so the light was streaming in late and early.

The steps coming down from the second floor walkway seem a bit dodgy. If you are a bit unsteady you should ask to stay on the 1st floor.
Friendly staff. An atmosphere of being at a campground (group BBQ, campfire etc). Well cleaned room. Off the highway so relatively quiet.

The only thing I wasn't wild about was leaving my key in an open box when we checked out. Would have preferred to leave it in a secured location or with a staff person.
Don't be put off by the outside appearance of this motel. The room was very comfortable, with everything we needed, and everything in good condition. We especially liked the moose-themed bedding, totally a hit in this part of the world! The man who checked us in was friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

It was hard to use and manage coil based stove. You can't really predict how and when coil gets too hot. There was no kitchen exhaust, and cooking scent had no place to escape. I am not sure if other kitchenette rooms have exhaust, but room#1 doesn't have. The living room had a ceiling fan, but there was no ceiling fan in the bedroom. Wish they had installed one.
Perfectly located. Very close to the main highway, cafe etc. Kids play ground was also one block away.

The bed in our room was a bit wobbly. There was no electric plug near the bed for medical equipment but they did sort out an extension so no issue
We had arrived a little early but were still able to check in which was much appreciated. Very close to the main street. Typical motel layout. The suite arrangement worked well with a separate bedroom lounge/kitchen and bathroom. Well equipped with most of what we needed.. good kitchen and outdoor barbecue facilities.
