Will mention the "locking out of my room" incident here. The door knobs don't rotate from outside unless there is a key inserted in them. This is a nice safety mechanism that exists in hotels with cars scan locks too. The only difference is that the rooms are indoors. Given the set up of the motel, these rooms are outside and right next to water where it does get windy. So, if you are transferring your luggage from your car to the room, but at the time of unlocking the door, you removed the keys and placed them on the table inside, there is a very high chance (ask me!) of the wind gust closing the door on you and you getting locked out. My only feedback would be to have the door knob rotate from outside too when the key has already unlocked it and then the inside knob be the one with a push button that lets you lock it from inside.

The location, the price and the staff which was very helpful. There was an incident of me getting locked out of my room at 2am (more on that later) and the staff made sure to get me in at those hours even though they were not on property. Thanks for the help at those late hours!

Front door didn't lock securely, coffee-maker didn't work, one overhead light bulb needed replacing

Easy to find, Busy but quiet. Motel backs onto the St. Lawrence River, spacious unit with walk-out to small deck facing the river, unit has eating area, parking at front door. Enjoyed seeing river level up close at both high tide and low tide.

Hot water ran out in the shower when there was only 2 of us needing it. Tap over the bath trickled all night. The bathroom door doesn't fit properly so couldn't be closed fully. No insect screen on rear window so couldn't be left open. No bedside lighting & no power point within reach of the beds.

Housecleaning was very inconsistent & they didn't understand much English. 7 of the 11 nights, I had to take my laundry / towels to the front desk to get new / replacement laundry, as housekeeping didn't show up to clean our room

The floor was a bit uneven, I guess it's an older building that was build like a cottage. Also, the bathroom was pretty 'dated' but I'm okay with that. Some others might be turned off by it.

I mainly like the location, being right on the water front and a view of the sunset. Plus the room had a sliding glass door in the back, so I could access the back area, no need to walk around from the front. Also some shopping and restaurants a short drive away.

Location is beautiful, right on St. Lawrence. Easy access to river, motel provided a chimera so we had a nice camp fire just outside our room. Staff (Alex) was very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with.
