The beds were very noisy, everytime you moved it made loud noises and they were not very comfortable. We didn't have a compendium and couldn't figure out how to use the air-conditioning and when it was on it was very loud and clicked on and off constantly.

Perfect location, and nice clean rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Booking, checking in and payments were all easy. The sheets were so soft. Was the perfect room for 1 adult and 3 teens for the night. Fast free WIFI was excellent.

The shower rod was loose and not set right as the curtain hung lower than it should have. The shower curtain could use replacing. The bathroom mirror wasn't clean. The surfaces were dusty. The remote control to the television quit working, and the backing to the batteries was taped up. One of two beds would creak when I got in and out of it.

There was a washer and dryer on-site, which cost $2.00 for the washer and $2.00 for the dryer. We had to buy some detergent. The room had a private entrance. The beds were comfy. The motel is close to a good local restaurant.

Unfortunately, the floor in our room hadn’t been cleaned in a while and the mattresses were very tired. We paid $10 extra to bring our dog (which I presume is for extra cleaning required after a dog stays in the unit), but obviously, that kind of cleaning is not being done. We also had an end unit and the traffic noise was quite amplified. We used the AC unit and some white noise to help drown that out. Nice little spot, but needs some TLC to keep it up better.

Barriere is a great stopping off point on the trip home from Vancouver Island back to Alberta. This motel is easy to find, people are friendly, and the staff are responsive

We've stayed here in the past and found it more comfortable than it is now. The room was dirty and the finishing were extra-tired. The pool (the reason for choosing here for our stopover) was dirty and the sides were mushy. We also had to get two rooms for the 4 of us when they would have let us get one in the past, so essentially doubling the price.

Cheap place for a stopover in beautiful landscape. Close to decent restaurants.

Room needs a good dusting and beds need updating. Very loud with the tree planters through no fault of the motel. Office kept trying to charge my card prior to our arrival even though none had been provided to them until arrival. I booked through Booking.com.

The beds were excellent. The room was spacious with a couch and a coffee table and just one bed! The place was very quiet. Nice restaurant next door.

Shower head very poor. Not the original owners, who kept it very nice, seems to have declined a bit. Not great with communication...the fellow (owner?) who checked us in seemed to have a poor command of English when I asked a couple of questions. He insisted the restaurant (that looked closed) next door was open, but,in fact, was not due to water main issues that many of the businesses had been affected by.

Clean, comfortable bed, basic, was good for an overnight stop.

I kept trying to turn on the heat using the thermostat but it never seemed to come on, and blankets were fairly thin so it was a little cold.

Staff was friendly, and check in and check out was easy. I also liked that it was on ground level and easy to find off the highway. Will definitely be back.

No hot water. Tried to have a bath both at night and the next morning and there was no hot water either times.

A teenage sports team was making too much noise after 10:00 pm. I told them to keep the noise down and they complied. I’m not sure if the motel owner knew the rooms were being used by teenagers with chaperones or not. I did not complain as I’m a grandmother and know how teenagers can be.

I feel you could use a towel update. The towel are getting a bit thin. Nothing too serious.

Very clean, liked the vinyl flooring it is better than carpet I feel it is a cleaner application. The fridge was very handy. I liked that the pump shampoo and soap dispensers they were smart and convenient.

This is the ideal location if travelling from BC to Alberta. Owner / host is great, rooms clean and we always stay here when travelling. They have made several upgrades which is good.
