One needs to calibrate their expectations when staying at a forest cabin, this isn't meant to be a 5 star resort experience. With that in mind, our only issue was maybe that the mattresses are too soft. No curtains was actually amazing because you get to wake up to nature.

Absolutely fantastic rustic cabin experience in the middle of the woods. The cabin itself has windows to capture the views all around except maybe the attic, a kitchen with a stove and fridge, a functional clean washroom and plenty of beds. There's a campfire area and benches right outside with dry wood and firestarters available, a stream nearby and woods all around. Nothing short of tranquil nature and quality family time. Host was always available and super pleasant to interact with. Will not only recommend but also be visiting again ourselves.

The Washroom didn't have a lock.

If you are looking for an exceptional stay in the woods, this is your place. The cabin is unbelievable. It's rustic, properly maintained, well-stocked, comfortable, and blended into nature.

there is a double bed in the attic, but you should have a strong bladder at night, it's not the easiest to get down from :-)

beautiful private cabin right outside Wells Gray Park, host was very friendly and helpful, good explanation of how to find it (which was needed because it was a bit off the beaten path which we liked), great dining and sitting area, very peaceful place

Could do with curtains or blinds on windows for bedrooms. We stayed very close to summer solstice.

Just loved it. Rustic and different. Lot of space and homely feel.

The 2 rooms were quite small, so not alot of space for stuff. No hanging wardrobe in both rooms, but one room has some shelves. So we had to use the space in the sitting and dining room too (which was plenty). Some hooks or something for hanging clothes in the room would be useful. The room in the loft, which is beautiful, is not easy to access. As it has narrow & steep (but very beautiful) stairs. So very challenging to climb up, not to mention bring our suitcases up. Also all the windows have no shades or curtains. The bedroom ones at least shd have shade or curtains installed.

It’s beautiful, and very comfortable. Such a great experience for city folks like us. There are heaters all around the cabin so it is very warm and comfortable. I also like the info pack which is put together very nicely. Thank you Simone for clearly stating that the cups and plates are cleaned and sterilised according to standards. The sheets smell amazing too. Plenty of towels provided, as well as tea & coffee.

When city people go on vacation in a cabin in the woods…

You either like to sleep in a cabin with all that comes with it, or not. We had mixed feelings about our stay as we are used to city hotels, but it was a great experience to sleep among the bears and all other wildlife in the park... The kitchen cupboards are the old ones from before the renovation, I guess. The wood smells a bit but it didn't really bother us.

A nice little old cabin surrounded by a forest and a lot of green and privacy. You won’t see any people or other houses around. We haven't met the hosts who seem to try to make your stay enjoyable. Great and prompt communication. Tip: Try to arrive during daylight, then it is easy to find. You will receive instructions from the host a few days before your arrival. Clean rooms and bathroom. Liked the bedding, that was European style. There were enough towels for everyone. Our travel companions loved the hot chocolate options provided by the hosts. It rained on one day and it was nice to sip a hot chocolate while peeking through the big living room window. Cabin can sleep 6 people, but we didn’t use the living room corner as there were only 2 seats available (which we knew in advance due to the pictures). In the evenings we played games at the long wooden table that fit all of us. It felt a bit creepy in the evenings because there are no curtains on the windows. Also something we were not used to. Everything is open and you can look into the dark night…. hoping that coyotes and bears don’t care about what’s happening inside 😊 There is a fire pit outside that you can use if there is no fire ban. When you book the cabin, don’t count on being able to use it as basically every year and all summer from June to October you can expect a fire ban due to the high fire danger in the surrounding forest. But there is a huge stove in the kitchen and enough cooking utensils that you can then use for preparing your dinner. The nights are dark and because you sleep in the middle of the forest, you sleep with all that comes with it. Howling coyotes and noisy critters around the house. Indeed something you have to get used to when coming from a city life.

First and foremost, don't use the Google maps directions and navigation to get there because it leads you to the wrong place. Follow the instructions provided by the owner. The kitchen was poorly equipped. Cabinets were dirty, old and stinky. There was no way to wash dishes because there were no brushes or scouring pads. When contacting the owner she said this is what they have, only a wash cloth to wash dishes. That was disappointing. She offered no solutions. The upstairs "bedroom" has very low ceilings. We had to walk crouched to get across the room to the bed. The pictures did not reflect that.

The location was very unique and beautiful. The beds and linen were clean and comfortable.
