How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The outdoor seating area at the bin, the wasps were always around. They could do with more seating outside. Not much variety in the hot breakfast could do with greater choice. They didn't have proper cutlery or plates, paper & plastic.
The staff were very friendly and professional, always there to help. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs, we had a great room with a kitchen. We also enjoyed the gym and facilities to wash & dry our clothes.

The staff alerted us that it was not safe to leave any valuables in our vehicle overnight due to items being stolen previously. Thank you for the reminder but it meant additional work as we then had to offload all of our items( two planter boxes, packaged dirt 11 bags , several potting plants large and small in size and small tools ..as our destination was the Long Term Care patio at Valleyview AB Health Care Center the following morning.

Television not functioning, no help from hotel just wanted to relax watch a movie. We’re told to remove TV from wall and reset router. Did this and not connection. Disappointed with lack of response. Said they would offer refund next day. It’s been 6 days and nothing. Shame because hotel is clean. Holiday inn across parking lot will be the next choice.

It would have been nice to have daily room cleaning but we understand that this can be difficult.
The breakfast was great! Pancakes, eggs, sausages, toast, bagels, fruit and yogurt were available daily,

The biggest issue was the beds. The mattresses need to be up graded . You could feel the springs on your body. Also every time I've stayed here the hot tub is down.

Tell the people truth upfront
Breakfast was just OK. There was hardly anything left to eat. All they were saying is we’re out of her out which I didn’t know why they should know how much food they need for the guest why would they run out of stuff? Another thing I did not like about this hotel was they lied to us it’s saying they have a swimming pool even on their site but when we went there, there was no swimming pool. Very disappointed Because of the lie

Our television didn't work, and after mentioning it they didn't do anything. Even on checkout when I shared that we had gone the whole stay (with two small kids) without tv they just said I'm sorry but honestly a small discount on the rate we paid (which was high) would have been better. Also the carpets were not the cleanest so keeping shoes on was a must when walking around.
The breakfast was amazing, probably once of the best included breakfasts we've had in a while and the water and ice was delicious.

The room I stayed in (216) was directly above the entrance. The front door is an automatic, sliding door and was extremely load in my room. Could hear and feel every time it opened, which at some times was every few minutes. Went to the front desk to ask for a room change but no one was there at the time. Do NOT stay in room 214 or 216!
The room was nice and comfortable enough. Breakfast was good.

Small bathroom. Two of our groups reservations were messed up - in turn having to have two people switch hotels for the second night because the reservation was inputted wrong and was only one night when it was supposed to be two.
Location is relation to where our tournament was.

No complaints
The staff! We came for hockey tournament and had our toddler with us. The gentleman at front desk let us check in earlier so we could put our little one for a nap. The microwave didn’t work in our room and one of the night staff ladies let me use the microwave in the kitchen. During the breakfast, the other lady was very just kind to all the guest and especially to little ones. For us personally, this is all I care. Kind and friendly attitude! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean!
