How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed was only a double and very uncomfortable. The screaming kids in two rooms over wasn’t pleasant. Also no staff to be found at all.
Its location and charm. The room was small but very comfortable. Loved the front porch and second floor balcony.

We have stayed here numerous times over the last few years and there is a young boy that works at the restaurant that has absolutely no idea what he is doing. Forgot to bring our coffees, gave our food to the table beside us, got my order wrong and forgot my toast. This is the second year he has done this and it is very annoying.... The inn is very smelly and stuffy. We stayed in the James Laird room. The bathroom door is not even close to being able to close. The shower was built for someone 4 feet tall. The inn needs some work. I booked on Booking,com and it said the total price was $161.00 but Marco Polo Land charged my credit card $174.00 and they didn't give me a receipt. Upon checking in, they couldn't find my reservation and it took a very long time to get it figured out by another girl running back and forth to the office from the registration booth.
Location is great. Breakfast included when staying at the inn is great.

No smoke detector in the room and no fire extinguishers and there should be something telling you what channels you get on the TV
This was are second time staying and there’s lots for kids to do it was clean. We enjoyed it.

I realize the Inn is old,but the AC unit didn’t keep the room very cool. Some of the bathroom tiles were broken and some were loose. Lots of mold in the shower.
The location. The breakfasts very phenomenal. The staff there very all awesome.

Liked to have a decaf pod for coffee. Asked at office. Didn"t receive. Too much furniture in sm. room. Update decor. Victorian is lovely but really old. Must be difficult to clean. There was some webs hanging from ceiling. Nothing was real serious. Unlike Anne Shirley Motel.( Never again)
Breakfast was good with great service & included in lodging Quiet & comfortable. Liked the shower curtain of Marco Polo.

A rustic stay but the bathroom can use some repair and upgrades. The room is quiet and clean. Beds were quite soft but overall a comfortable stay. Steps away from LM Montgomery burial site and the famous Green Gables. Also very close to the beautiful national parks.

Bathroom sink wouldn't drain and one of the bedside table lamps was broken and someone just set it there knowing it was broken. Hallway needs q light. Couldn't see to unlock the door at night.
Breakfast included and access to everything at campground.

Two things and not serious - we really did not have a table or place to set the excellent breakfast. I found out bathroom very small. I do not like small spaces and had to keep the door open to shower.

Room at the inn are very old and not comfortable. The restaurant didn't have a heater and it was a cold morning.

Bathroom needs to be updated and tub replacing as it had evidence of mould.
The room was clean and had a bar fridge. Keurig in the lobby with coffee pods. Front porch to sit out on. Hot breakfast was served in another building restaurant, was excellent! Good location for biking around.

It reeked of mold and mildew, the staff were confused and not super kind, the lights were blown out in the room and we had to wait for them to be fixed. This resulted in us being late and missing some attractions we wanted to check out. There is no water bottle refill station in unless you have a really big container. This resulted in us having to drive around to find a gas station that could give us water. I also got very sick and had to go to the doctor who said it was likely due to mold exposure.
It looked nice, they provided breakfast but we didn’t stay for that

Accessible to the rooms (use a walker). Checked the website and saw the ramp so thought that was good. But it didn't access our room! We had a hard time getting in and out. And there was no on-site person to help. Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.PS glad I didn't get one of the upstairs rooms! Maybe mention that when people book!

we are not used to the rooms like this.we expected a newish room .did not fully investigate where we were going to stay.It said Inn,but it probably was nice in the early 1900's.not a fan of wallpaper.Lots of extension cords tried the TV on the second night.didn't work.
The complimentary breakfast was great.Had to drive to the restaurant.made closer for the campers
