How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The gravelled entrance could be paved, the hosts are aware of this. Signage could also be added for easier access to the property, as it is located at an awkward angle right at the intersection of René-Levesque and Bourbonniere.
The location is superb, right by Laval University and Maguire Street where many good eateries are situated I discovered Tapas et Liège and loved the gourmet cuisine at reasonable prices. The hosts are welcoming and attentive to their guests' needs. Two bathrooms and a well-appointed living room area and kitchen make the stay even more comfortable. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Québec city!

Overpiced considering there was no private bathroom.
Everything was very clean. Very well managed, shared living room and comfortable kitchen, well-equipped, shared between three badrooms.Free parking.

The kitchen is missing a few items, such as placemats and other small details, but these are things that can easily be improved over time.
It’s an annex located beneath the host’s house, with 3 bedrooms, 2 shared bathrooms, and a combined kitchen and living room. It’s situated in a family-friendly neighborhood, close to a supermarket and just a short walk from two bus stops that take you to the city center in about 30 minutes.

Hardwares in the property are flimsy. Liquid body soap not provided in every bathroom. The property has washing machine but detergent is not provided.

Good location with bus into city very close by. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms worked well and kitchen was good - just needed some small sharp knives. Good off street parking.

I would have been nice to be able to wait in the lounge area until my bus came. I waited 4.5 hours in the snow at the bus stop today as I was told I had to depart at 11am

I stayed at a wonderful hotel with a cozy, homely atmosphere. The place was very clean and comfortable, and you can feel the care put into every detail. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and always ready to assist. I especially appreciated how everything was thoughtfully arranged to create a welcoming environment. A great place to relax—I’ll definitely come back!

The only comment I would mention is the furniture, sofa, living room chair and bed were not made for senior citizens, low to the floor. We made it work and it was fine.
Everyone involved was extremely kind and accommodating. I made a few requests and they met my needs. The facilities were very clean, quiet and spacious.First class.

We had a very good room in a basement of the house. The location to downtown Quebec was very easy using a local bus that was a 4 min walk away. The home owners very very professional and helpful

It’s always preferable to have a private bathroom, but you can’t do better than having 2 very nice bathrooms for 3 bedrooms.
Can’t get closer to catching the bus into downtown. Great couple who are running it, who care about their guests, and improving the place

There were 2 bathrooms that were shared between 4 bedrooms (maybe 3 bedrooms, I didn't notice). Everything was beautiful and clean and there was no waiting for a bathroom. Host was nice and the guests staying there were all courteous. The host left us each a coffee pod for the keurig in the morning. I would stay again.
