Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBest to only do valet. Hotel starts on 2nd floor so you need to go through the restaurant. Wierd but it was not a problem.
Awesome location to all sites and on off bus. Clean, great outdoor patio with fireplaces to enjoy wine in evening.

CanadaA bit noisy. You can hear people all around you. Very high up. You will need an Uber unless you enjoy walking uphill for an hour.
Comfortable location just far enough from the craziness of old town. Lots of cute restaurants.

United StatesThe room was small but expected because of the age of the building. But very well appointed. Parking was a bit of a challenge but available nearby. Check in directions were confusing because of the traffic flow and lack of signage.
Breakfast was not included but there is a very nice restaurant on site that serves a relatively reasonably priced full breakfast and full dinner menu. Location was excellent.

GermanyThey could offer breakfast for Hotel guests…
Our large room with King size Bed and towards the back alley was very comfy and quiet during the Night. The Location of the Hotel on a street Full of Restaurants is great - and it took us only 15-20 min. by foot to Chateau Fontenac. Valet Parking for CAD 25,- per Night is acceptable, given that Most Parking costs 18-25,- per day in the area… When you arrive on the Weekend, the street is closed and we needed to Park in the back alley, but there is an employee entrance they openend for us…

CanadaParking 🥲 you need to walk 7 minutes to get a valet.
We got it at an amazing deal. Hôtel is located right before the old town, which is good, it will take you 5 minutes to go to busy streets but the hotel is located on a calmer street. There are plenty of restaurants near hotel too. Room was clean and overall experience was just amazing.

CanadaThe room was phenomenal - from the stylish (and very pretty) decor to the thoughtful extras that make a difference (e.g. bath robes, a kettle with lots of tea options, a coffee machine, a mini fridge, TV with screen mirroring capability, etc.). The staff was super friendly and both check-in and check-out were extremely easy. I'd also recommend spending some time just relaxing on their terrace as it is super peaceful and pleasant. The location was also good. Even though it's not in the centre of Old Town, it's only a 10 to 15 minute walk there. Plus, the area is super nice and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby (especially good if you're looking for nightlife). I highly recommend it and we will definitely stay there again if/when we come back to Quebec City.

ColombiaThe only thing I didn’t like was that access to the hotel was through the restaurant area, which felt a bit uncomfortable as we had to walk between diners or people attending an event.
I really liked the hotel for its location, the room was very comfortable, everything was spotless. We also had the chance to try the breakfast and it was delicious.

IrelandMain issue for us as a couple in our sixties was the constant loud music in the bar/restaurant. It wasn't an issue in our bedroom but discouraged us from using the restaurant. Small things, the curtain in our bedroom did not cover the full window and let light in early morning. It was not clear on booking.com that the hotel did not provide breakfast facilities at all. A welcome book, as provided in most hotels, would be a good idea. EG it could clearly state no breakfast provided and maybe mention nearby alternatives. Recommend places to see/visit etc.
Room generally. Location is excellent. Staff were friendly.

CanadaThat I booked and paid for a room with terrace. First night didn’t get it even though I laid for it. Booked in April so that isn’t professional. Had to pack up next day and got 1 night for the room I wanted. Also, as a smoker I wasn’t able to get out to street to have a smoke. It was all locked up.
Location….very close to old Quebec.
