There was nowhere to sit as there were no chairs. The car park outside our room was a bit squeezed with 2 other cars with trailers attached caused us to parallel park.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We ate at the pub next to the reception and the pizza was pretty good, but you may need a torch to see. Overall pretty good accommodation if you don’t have high expectations.

Very friendly, attentive, and gave good advice on parking, eating, and sightseeing. Staff could not have been friendlier, and were very attentive to our comfort. The front hall could be more welcoming, rather sterile. Loved all the Canadian Geese statues all over town and the access to Pukaskwa Provincial Park..

The hallway and stairs were still under renovation. At 10:00pm they went to close fire escape door and couldn’t get it to close so there was an extreme amount of noise that woke us up.

Outdated & a bit ran down, being woken up at 9am by house keeping banging on the door when checkout wasn’t until 11 and do not disturb was placed on the door, had a creepy neighbour across the hall and we told staff and they’d just laughed about it as they appeared to know him as a resident there but didn’t make me feel any better about the possibility of ever booking here again.

The property is a kind of old and maybe needs upgrade especially the washroom.. Aircon was not working well and the squeaking floor is loud.

My dog heard every noise in the hall and the room next door... but I'm pretty sure that was "her" problem. My room was in the midst of renovations, so the wall had holes from where the TV was etc.

I was across from the lake, which was perfect for a morning walk. Lakeview Hotel is a dog friendly hotel 😀 There is a restaurant in the hotel.

Hallways had industrial carpet with large rips and very worn , hallway was not painted, had drywall repairs that were not painted. Room was very very dated I.e. very old artificial flowers in pots mounted to the walls, bathroom toilet seat was not right size for toilet so moved around..etc.

The elephant parade above us at 1:00 am was annoying. Stomp, stomp, stomp!

It looks a bit rustic from the outside and lobby but the rooms are not rustic.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Some new renovations recently. The staff were very friendly. There is a good restaurant and bar attached with pub type food that is good value. There was a live band playing too.

The restaurant wasn't there, just a pub/bar - although with food service fortunately. Some live band started playing around 10pm, and it seems we got room just above the bar. If I had known this, I would have booked a different place. Saved the sleep by my ear plugs.

The toilet needs to be better fixed, it's loose! The building is very old and in dire need of renovation and repairs, although our room had clearly been totally renovated. Food in the restaurant was good but definitely overpriced and not many options.

The bathroom was really good, although the bathtub is a bit slippery, I'd suggest one of those bath anti slip mats. The room was clean, sheets clean, good tv. Our dog was received as part of the family and they even set up a table for us on the back patio of the restaurant so it could stay with us. Service in the restaurant was really good!
