Absolutely loved my stay here. The staff were exceptional. The facilities were very clean and decorated beautifully. Located downtown and surrounded by mountains that you can enjoy when in Rooftop hot tub which was hot and clean. Sauna too. Food was gourmet and flavourful. You’re treated like you’re the most important person in the world here.

Would suggest making a booking system for the hot tub, as once when we tried to go in others were using it which felt awkward to join them.

My husband missed having an elevator, poor thing. The no shoe policy was a tad annoying, but they certainly went out of their way to make it as easy as possible.

The food was excellent! Clean and pretty and many small touches show how much the establishment cares about its guests. Looking forward to going back.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

This place is like home-away-from home. While in Calgary, we stayed at a generic hotel and loved that the Lady MacDonald was unique and charming. Our room (Grotto) was comfortable and cozy, and we liked having a “back door” directly to the outside. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the staff were all delightful. The location was convenient and out of the way just enough so we didn’t have any crowds or noise. We had to leave early on our last day so would have missed breakfast, but the kind staff left us bread, jam, and nut butters as well as cereal and coffee so we could have something to eat before heading to the airport.

This was one of the best accommodations we’ve ever stayed at. The service was absolutely incredible – hot tub, sauna, extra towels – everything you could wish for. And then there were the thoughtful little touches: slippers, cotton buds, tissues, earplugs just in case… even a lovely shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided. The breakfast was fabulous, just like the hotel staff – warm, welcoming, and always helpful. If you’re looking for a cute, comfy, and friendly place with proper service, this is the one to book! *Visiting the terrace with the hot tub is an absolute must – the 360-degree mountain view is simply breathtaking.

From the minute we walked into the property we were entranced. It was like being in another era. Attention to detail was amazing. It didn’t feel like a hotel at all - more like a home stay with a huge cooked breakfast each morning. The rooms were all individualised and beautifully done.
