The bathroom is raised with respect to the room floor, there are two steps down. The first night I forgot about that (I was sleepy), and in the dark I almost stumbled. The owner provided tickets to a nearby parking lot; we thought these were included in the price of the room but when we left we discovered we had to pay for them (no problem there, but why couldn't we simply buy the tickets ourselves at the parking lot?)

The room was very large - two double beds, bathroom with a bathtub, windows everywhere. The air conditioner is small but very efficient (maybe a bit too noisy), and there's a ceiling fan. There's plenty of places to have breakfast within walking distance. There's practically no parking space in front of the hotel, but the owner directed us to a nearby large parking lot. Our room had a terrace with painted glass windows.

It was less than ideal to not have a full wall en-suite bathroom but it was better than no bathroom!

We stayed in room 3, the room with the toilet and shower inside the room with only a partial wall, indeed it is small and the shower head is precariously attached to the wall but it did still work. You cannot turn down the heating, so there are bits of wood you can use to keep the window partly opened. There was no breakfast food, as others have reported, but coffee is great and you get orange juice too. The beds are really comfortable. The room is of another decoration era but it is absolutely fine. We arrived and stayed through the 2nd snow storm of the week, so lots of uncleared snow on the ground and therefore the excellent location was a further bonus. I spent 18 months in Quebec a long time ago, my daughter lives in Quebec, but we had not experienced so much snow in a short period. It will therefore be quite a memorable holiday!

Wifi could be better

The building (an old house full of story) and the position in the hearth of the old upper town. There is also a cover parking at 3 minutes walk from the hotel for only 10 dollara a day. The owner is friendly and ready for help if needed. Good breakfast with hot cofee, orange juice, croissants, muffins and fresh fruit.

The room is very spacious and clean. Plenty of towels, glasses, hair dryer, everything you need is available. The croissants are delicious. Room is being cleaned and tidied up everyday. The location is super! Value for money is incredible 👏

It was tricky to use the shower head in the bathroom as it was not mounted to the wall.

The owner was kind and helpful. Breakfast was basic, but plenty for a pleasant meal to have in the room before starting the day. Room and bath were clean. We appreciated having plenty of towels and washcloths, as well as the robes, iron, fridge and Tv in the room. We loved having the balcony with screen door, and the location was excellent. We never had to wait to use the shared bath.

Lack of wifi. There is some breakfast provided but I wasn't told when/where to get it.

Yes this place hasn't been decorated in a while but my room had everything I needed - plenty of towels, fridge, kettle, iron, fan etc. Even a little balcony. I was allowed to store my luggage during the day and when I checked in it was already in my room.

Breakfast was prompt, enjoy d having a table in the room. Parking was only available for one night; as a result I was ticketed fir$91. I plan to challenge that.

Travellers should expect the accommodations to be very basic. Stairs, no elevators. Shared bathroom with other guests. No A/C, though there is a balcony door and ceiling fan to keep the room comfortable. Breakfast was small-- croissant, mini-muffin, coffee and juice eaten in your room. If you need more fuel to start your day, plan to stop at one of the nearby cafes.

EXCELLENT location for visiting the sights within old Quebec at a much lower room rate than other accommodations. Also a ten minute walk from safe underground public parking that cost CAD$20/day. We appreciated that we could store our luggage before check-in and that the concierge already had carried our bags upstairs to our room when we returned. In summary, if you want luxury, choose another hotel. If you want to stay in the Old City at a great location at a great price, as we did, choose this hotel.
