Breakfast was supposed to be included but we got there a half hour before the end of serving time and there was no food left. We saw others come and go because there was nothing to eat. There wasn't even any milk left in the fridge for cereal and the coffee carafe was empty. The front desk girl came to check after we notified her and she was able to refill everything but it took a few minutes. Our hotel room had coffee but no tea, and nothing decaf. The bathroom sink had a leaky faucet.

The room was clean and fairly quiet considering it was next to a main road. Not much for scenery outside the window. There was a restaurant on site which was nice, and there was parking for the hotel even though the listing said there wasn't any. The accessories in the bathroom were good quality.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. It was quiet, even on the road-side. Plenty of parking available. The staff were pleasant and helpful. For breakfast there was a good selection with eggs, sausage, mini pancakes, potato hashbrowns, fruit options, cereal options, yogurt options, coffee, juices.

The 2 rooms we had were 7/10 as the bathrooms need a little love, towels had bleach burns, elevator access was a little strange and hallways were not air conned.

Mike at the front desk was excellent, answered all our questions, explained the "interesting" way to enter the building when you need the elevator and was a proud supporter of the Kimberley Brewery in the basement of The Lodge.

No elevator was a surprise - one of our party was disabled We were an elderly foursome so carrying luggage upstairs was difficult The reception had no staff when we arrived and when we left - we had to wait a long time for assistance A paramedic was trying to get to a client who had called, but no one around to let them in to the hotel room

The mattress was awful. It was really hard and so I had a really bad sleep. I was very uncomfortable. Of course it's hard to please everyone in that sense. I'm sure lots of people like a firm mattress.

The staff were all really lovely. Breakfast was good although the sausages looked uncooked (didn't try one). The room was clean and it was nice and quiet, although I was above the brewhouse on a night when they were closed and I bet it would have been louder if it was open. The friendly staff was the favourite thing about the place.

No way of getting to the rooms easily without using stairs. No desk in room.

The breakfast and location were great. I have mobility issues and climbing up and down the stairs was very tough. The elevator at the back is alright but of very little use when going to the dining areas or meeting someone for traveling together. Trying to explain where the elevator was was not easy to do.

I think the rooms need 1 or 2 easily accessible electrical outlets close to the bed. I had to request an extension cord to plug in my CPAP machine.

I enjoyed the choice of bakery muffins, fruit and coffee. The staff gladly filled my water bottle with ice.
