On arrival we identify a mistake (either from Booking.com or from the Hotel and one of our rooms had only 1 bed. I ask the receptionist if we could change and the answer was a hard NO since we did the booking through booking.com. This was despite having available rooms. I had no other option than to pay for another room (and she was ready to cancel the one I already paid!). The Hotel has no breakfast option (only brunch) and when I asked for advice on where to get an early breakfast was very unhelpful :-( .

Place was clean and the rooms very comfortable. The manager upon departure was great and helpful.

Did not refresh room which is expected in a hotel of the calibre and market it wants to serve. Hot tub out of service.

The beds and the chairs in the room were very soft. As someone with a bad back, 2 nights in the bed was definitely enough for me.

Excellent location, ample parking, well maintained building. The restaurant had a fabulous view overlooking the lake and mountains, and the food was very well prepared. Our room was very spacious.

There was no hair dryer in my room.

The staff was very friendly. I loved the building itself, had a fantastic "old hotel" feel to it. Spacious, nice view. Very comfortable bed.

We liked everything about the property, but the restaurants were closed when we were there and so there was nowhere to find food mid week in April. Just check ahead of time if restaurants will be open when you’re there.

The queen bed in room 300 seems too soft and may be worn out. I weigh 150 pounds and I sank so much that I couldn’t use the pillows.

Love the vintage of the building. The paintings from locals.

Nothing comes to mind - I spent 40 years flying all over the world and sleeping in hotels - The owners have paid attention to detail. Frank at the front Desk was like dealing with old friend - very helpful. The Hotel is for me one of the Jewels in the Kootneys - Phenominal views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Right in the heart of Kaslo - easy walk to everything. Summer or winter, it would be my choice.

Nothing on my booking said that yu had frig in room and microwave in hallway. Almost didn't book because of this. Was happy to see frig but it should be stated online yu have frig and availility to microwave

Didn't know that the main door was still locked in the early morning. But figured out that our key card worked at another entrance. No issues.

Overlooking mainstreet was entertaining. Enjoyed coffee on the deck while the town was waking up. The other side would have a stunning view of lake & mountains. Breakfast across the street at the Corked Fork is recommended. Lunch and dinner at the hotel was delicious. The staff are helpful and friendly.

A minor point - some information about the hotel and things like where to get food - would have been helpful in the room, although there was some in the lobby downstairs.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a lovely village, and the renovated heritage building looks very authentic. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, with a big balcony overlooking the water and the mountains. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant downstairs was good, and very convenient!

It is a brilliant modern hotel bout is a heritage style. Beautifully furnished exceptional staff and good food. Comfy bed. Lived the roof top hot tub. In the centre of Kaslo so great for exploring.
