Unfortunately, upon checking out, when we had a question about the bill, the host was curt and dismissive. Consequently, we were sorry not to be able to leave with only positive feelings about our stay, which we otherwise enjoyed.

The property is in a beautiful, somewhat secluded locations, dramatically overlooking the ocean shore. Sunsets and sunrise are amazing! The owners were great, and the whole experience was very smooth. The breakfasts (included) and dinners (we had two, they cost extra $, must be pre-ordered by noon before) were all fantastic. It's a nice place to spend a relaxing evening or morning, there's a great common area, and a scenic 15-ish minute trail overlooking the ocean.

Nothing.........yes it's a little out of the way but that actually adds to it's charm

Mel and Dave are excellent hosts, the location of the property was fantastic, the views were far reaching. The property was comfortable and the rooms were lovely. Their very friendly dogs were an unexpected surprise. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Fabulous inn with a fabulous view. Totally worth the splurge. Only regret is that we did not book 2 nights. Lovely furnishings, comfortable bed and chairs. Outstanding breakfast. The night sky is spectacular, (they have insect repellent if you forgot it). Perfect place to relax and recharge.

We loved EVERYTHING!

This was the highlight of our holiday in PEI! The views are stunning and we loved reading a book in the Adirondack chairs and having a glass of wine outside before having our dinner. Mel is an excellent cook and we enjoyed our delicious home cooked dinner! Mel and Dave make you feel at home and are excellent hosts. The photos of the rooms don’t do the rooms justice. We had a large, light filled room with a beautiful view of the cliffs. The bathroom was also large and modern with a rain shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. Didn’t have the time to walk on the cliffs but there is a lovely path stretching for miles! The added bonus of the lovely dogs and Stinky the cat (who made a last minute appearance as we left) added to the homely feel! We highly recommend it and should have booked for two nights!

Air conditioning was way too cold. No way to adjust it in the room expect to climb up on a chair and close the vent.

The Inn was in a special location on a cliff which is why I chose it but the ease of check in plus relaxed vibe upon entering was not at all like a traditional inn. The rooms were clean bright and simple and modern. It was everything I want in an inn and more since Mel and Dave are exceptionally well adjusted and professional.

Take suggested precautions (insect repellant) during black fly season; however, thankfully it’s short.

Johnson Shore Inn provided a storybook escape from the day-to-day with breathtaking seaside cliffs, trails to the waters edge, gentle therapy-like dogs, scrumptious meals, the friendliest of hosts, bald eagle and hummingbird viewing, an exceptional destination unto itself. I can only hope to return one day…

I liked it all!

Mel and Dave are wonderful hosts! They took care of all our needs. They made us feel like family. All the staff are just awesome. The location is jaw dropping, great escape. The food was amazing. Dave is the king of eggs. Mel prepared the best suppers ever! Her meals were truly mouth watering. We loved everything about this property. We will be back!
