House on Dunbar B&B was fantastic. The host was lovely and made us breakfast and coffee every morning! We had the room at the top of the house, which was private and quiet with a large bathroom. We stayed at another B&B at the end of our trip and it was terrible, we left after 1 night. You can't go wrong with this booking. Thanks again, we will be back :)

• The neighborhood was very quiet & beautiful with plenty of parking on the street. It felt safe. • Joanne responded quickly & kindly to our questions & allowed us to arrive early. • We left early each morning so we missed her home made breakfasts. She provided us with a continental breakfast (an option listed on the site) with yummy fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese & jam. • Our room was comfy and cozy with plenty of blankets, closet space, & a private bathroom. • The backyard is lovely & quiet if you want some peaceful outdoor time. ***This is the 3rd year in a row that we’ve stayed in Joanne’s beautiful home. We’ll be back! 💖Thank you Joanne, for your friendly hospitality.

We greatly appreciated the excellent breakfasts served by the land lady. She's a wonderful woman who helped us with some good ideas of what to see around the city. The whole backyard was available for us. Very friendly and calm neighbourhood, away from main roads, but short, 5 min. walking distance from the public transportation. Our bed linen was replaced and room cleaned half way through our stay, just after 4 days or so. We highly recommend the House on Dunbar 🥰

A friendly welcoming host who offered a different cooked breakfast option each day all of which were healthy and nutritious. We had access to a shared kitchen with tea and coffee provided and a relaxed seating area and garden. Within easy walking distance to Pacific Spirit Park and lots of information provided about local attractions and transport links. The quiet hours suited us.

Host is friendly and accommodated our dietary requests. The neighbourhood is lovely. The backyard space was nice, although we didn't use it. It would have been nice to have the breakfasts outside.

When we arrived, the bathroom sink was dirty and had hair in it. The unit is in the basement, which I don't recall seeing listed on the Booking.com site. The basement smelled musty and damp. We were able to open a window in our unit but it took a whole day for that smell to disappear. There is black mould on the bathroom tiles. The room was cramped and the bed was average. It would have been nice to be offered to eat breakfast outside in the fresh open air rather than the musty basement kitchen. Compared to what we payed for a beautiful room in Tofino, this room is overpriced, but hey, that's Vancouver for you!

The hot breakfast was pretty good. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious

The location is in a residential section with nothing much in walking distance, the bus stop is several blocks away, you really need a car. The room is small and crowded, it was not clean to our standards, we asked the owner to clean it again and she did. We stayed in a second floor room and we had to walk through the private residence where the owner often was sitting, and her bedroom was next to ours, lack of privacy. It was awkward and unlike our other experiences at B & B's or Airbnb's. The front steps are treacherous and my spouse, a builder, said they would not comply with most building codes. At breakfast you have to sit on these hard cold ceramic stools, quite uncomfortable. Other guests we talked to felt the same.

Quiet location just a couple of blocks from shops, cafes and restaurants on Dunbar. Comfortable bed and nice linen/duvet/towels. Host is very friendly and cheerful.

The room is in the basement (which has a window), but the walls in the bedroom and bathroom are painted in quite dark colours - the room and ensuite would feel much brighter if painted in lighter colours.

Beautiful house with lovely back garden. Wonderful host who made wonderful breakfasts. Excellent pancakes and quiche.

Far from downtown and all the places of interests and need to take.uber or cab to go anywhere

Good cooked breakfast in the morning, quiet house on a quiet street.

The location was nice and quiet. Socializing with other guests over breakfast was interesting and Joanne is a nice and respectful host. Enjoyable backyard.

This place is basically someone's normal house that is rented out to multiple guests and not much of an official B&B. You can hear everyone and everything. The cleanliness could have improved by a lot: visible stains on bed sheets and pillowcases, dust and spider webs in the room. We had a safe and ok stay overall but it definitely was not meeting our expectations especially given the price.
