Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaPut us in a room quite far away so walk from elevator. Elevators were slow and service staff should have used the elevator marked service staff. One elevator was not working. Room was not huge but worked. Bathroom door does not lock only slides so not best for privacy if travel with others.
Pool was great and hot tub was hot. Did not go to the restaurant but liked that there was one and a lounge onsite. Location is great walked to saddledome. Bit confusing with Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Suites being in the same building. Only difference was no breakfast at Hilton Garden Inn but it was cheaper so okay.

SwitzerlandThe area is a bit weird. Whilst the hotel is situated only a few minutes from the city centre, there were a lot of weird people around which made me feel unsafe from time to time, even during the day at 10am....
The building and rooms itself are great and the staff very friendly - even as a women solo-traveling I felt save.

AustraliaNoisy air conditioner. Had to turn off to sleep. Paper cups. Coffee tea machine that produced lukewarm pale water when I tried to make tea. No milk. I bought teabags and used the microwave.

United StatesI had to cancel the breakfast after the first day. There were not enough items to eat. I asked to cook eggs omelet but they asked money for that. So from the next day I did not eat breakfast there. But the gave me refund for couple of days. The facility is great and the location too.

CanadaThe homeless people at the Tim Horton’s next door were starting to get too close to the entrance and were commenting on people. Nothing against them personally but I felt unsafe getting out of my cab to go in. I also called down to the front desk with a question at 10pm and no one answered at all. Not even voice mail. Tried again at 10:30pm and no one answered after several minutes.
Great location , great value and a very good restaurant with super friendly morning staff and exceptional great coffee.

The room was clean and pleasant. Location was great - close to downtown and the library. We were not able to get the parking in the hotel, but we we parked cross the street on the public parking for $10 - for 24h. I will recommend this place.

CanadaNot very soundproof, can hear people in the street or other rooms. No kettle, making things quite inconvenient
Good for its price. The facility is new. The room is small, but comfortable. Adequately equipped coffee station and toilet. Walking distance to a lot of main attractions downtown and the the Calgary Stampede. Parking underground with the hotel for $35/night or across the street in public lot for $15/night.

CanadaWe found it odd that there were two chocolate easter eggs still in the bathroom, likely leftover from the previous guests doing an easter egg hunt. One was in the handle just outside the bathtub, so it did make me wonder if not everything gets cleaned/wiped down. There was also a large boot print on the ceiling of our room, which is, of course rude of a guest to do. I can understand housekeeping not noticing it as I don't imagine the ceiling is inspected and it wasn't noticed until we were actually laying in bed. The lighting on the bathroom mirror was not very bright, which was unfortunate as it would have been so helpful for my daughter as she got ready for her dance competition.
The staff, Melody and Brian, were amazing! Seriously, top notch customer service! The room was mostly clean and a decent size for a basic hotel room. I was especially happy that there was a parking lot right outside that was so affordable.

Canadaonly one elevator was working. From street level it was difficult to find when walking down the street. Noise from the little bits of traffic was surprising. The bar menu for snacks wasn't what I expect from a bar menu. I might as well have gone into the restaurant, but I was sheduled to meet friends at a nearby restaurant. No GF items called out on the menus.
