Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe room.217 ceiling showed stains from water leakage. It didn't bother me, but I know others who would be upset.

CanadaThe apartment was costly and claimed to have a kitchenette. No kettle, no toaster, no hot plate, no cutting board nor bread knife, a teeny tiny fridge …really nothing more than you’d find in a budget motel room. Lack of a proper apartment kitchenette was our chief complaint. Other things we’d change: Windows that opened for fresh air would be nice. Bathroom fan is always good. Bathtub plug in centre of tub was awful design making it very painful to lay down in tub. The taps and spout on the tub were terrible with a dangerous design and the hot water was scalding. A disaster waiting to happen in that awful tub! Dimmer switch over dining table would be nice. Otherwise the entire ‘apartment’ was dark and black. No dresser, closet or hooks in the bedroom. Of course we’d love it if breakfast and parking were included in the price as it was rather costly as stated above!
Loved the location with the view of the beautiful lake! Beds were very comfortable. Room was spotless. Staff were very friendly and helpful; accommodating all of our numerous requests! We had many requests because expected amenities were lacking. Staff went above and beyond within their limits. We loved having the red housecoats but would definitely prefer them in cotton. 🤗 I liked the small pool and temperature was perfect!

CanadaThe air conditioner is not in a good location - blows right down on the bed and continuous fan doesn’t work properly so that one still hears it kick in and out all night.
Location is nice with beautiful gardens and trails along the river

CanadaAs I said above: The self-serve breakfast area is very clean, but hot scrambled eggs and bacon or sausages would to an added plus. It is basically toast (many varieties), cereals, fruit, jam, juice and coffee. Could easily be improved. There is outside parking or underground, you have to pay!
The location is great, so pretty in front of Lac des Nations and great walking path. The reception staff was very nice and check-in was fast. The room is spacious, we had a corner room so we had 2 big windows. Good lighting, comfy bed, i lounge chair and one built-in desk with office chair, a mini fridge and small armoire to hang clothes and ironing board and iron inside. The washroom was big with a nice bath/shower combo, make-up mirror, hair dryer and all soap is dispenser style. Corridors are bright and pretty and straight with rooms on both sides. Lobby is attractive and far wall is all glass to enable you to see the grounds and Lac des Nations. The self-serve breakfast area is very clean, but hot scrambled eggs and bacon or sausages would to an added plus. It is basically toast (many varieties), cereals, hard boiled eggs (cold) at least keep them warm, fruit, jam, juice and coffee. Could easily be improved.

United StatesThe Times Sherbrooke is comfortable and functional. The room was spacious but pretty standard for this type of corporate, somewhat anonymous lodging. I found the front desk staff especially outstanding and friendly, so in all I can say I was satisfied by my stay. The hotel is a bit expensive if you compare it to similar places in bigger markets, but I suppose Sherbrooke has somewhat limited choices and that drives prices up.

CanadaSurprising that there was no service to freshen the room. First time that we have encountered this in a hotel. It was possible to have the room cleaned if requested the day before. We did this. We left the room at 9.30 am and returned at 2 pm and the maid showed up at 3 pm...... 2 elevators but only one in service for the 3 days that we were there.
Great location, close to restaurants, cafes sights. Room was spacious. Pool was great.

The bend in the river..called a "Lac Des Nations" is beautiful. The Fountain and Bonus fireworks for the birthday . Fabulous.. Rooms are spacious and comfy. I am aware that outside air is a big ask with a centralized system. However I have seen it done.
