Missing small details here and there, the edges on the windows can use more cleaning, the insect screen window should be replaced as it had a hole in it.

Location is exceptional. Surrounded by mountains! Amenities are very clean! Rooms are cozy!

We had a great stay! The space is clean, cozy, and surrounded by views of the mountains. The location is quiet and peaceful, and we had a great time at the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of options to choose from. The staff is friendly.

Did not provide wash clothes for showering, advertised that toiletries were available, but none were available upon request, hot tub was dirty, breakfast was bland and not all food options were available.

Location and spacious room were great. Room was very clean with no carpet and 2 comfortable chairs. The grounds were beautiful, like a park. Perfect for dogs.

    A four-star stay.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • King Room with Two King Beds
    • Stayed 1 night

Our room ended up being just outside the mostly enclosed part of the hotel, more like a motel room. Not sure why the lodge would have been built that way. There were a couple maintenance issues like the dislodging, poorer quality toilet seat and the shower head that dropped out of position. The breakfast was not as organized as it could have been and staff was rather less than professional in dress and manner.

The lodge itself is still very much a traditional, higher-end alpine sort of facility. It is surrounded with newer looking log cottages that add to the effect, making it a very attractive resort destination.

A bit large in scale which looses some charm, a bit strange with reception calling to check that you will check out in time. Some mosquitoes inside the cottage when arriving.

    Nice cottage, comfortable.

Breakfast was mediocre at best. Coffee ran out, some food was cold. No effort at recycling waste. Insufficient staff numbers during busy breakfast to replenish food items, etc..

Good well appointed room, comfortable bed and good amenities. Great setting.

All beds were in one common area/room, would have been more ideal to have separate rooms for the beds but we knew that going in. Accommodations located close proximity to major hydro-electric dam station.

Check-in & check-out was quick & easy. Individual chalet was nice to have for our family & pet. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, & sauna area after dinner. Breakfast being included was a nice touch.

The restaurant menu is minimal. When we went to order our dinner they were out of 4 main items. There were only about 8 items that were offered. The main desk worker even seemed embarrassed that they were out of so many items.

Our room was so comfortable. The beds. The pillows. The view. Why doesn’t anyone comment on the pillows more? The only thing I found odd was we were not provided with any face cloths. Had to use a hand towel.

Expensive but remote and still rustic lodge with great breakfast trying hard to be more
    • With a pet
    • Leisure trip

    • King Room with Two King Beds
    • Stayed 1 night

We arrived an hour early and weren’t permitted to check-in before 4:00 pm… my 85 year old dad wanted a nap… they suggested the couch in the lobby. No bueno. The property is obviously a rustic popular winter spot for snowmobilers/shedders and they’ve tried to upscale it, to justify the high summer prices, I suppose. But they’re not paying attention to finishing details… it’s still very rustic, and there may or may not be an actual person at the front desk. $350 for our one night did include a good breakfast for four, which helped, but still overpriced IMHO… $200 ish would cause me to consider returning. The mosquitos in July were extreme… be warned!

Our room was very large with two comfortable king beds for four men (my dad and brothers) but no balcony and a large picture window with nice view. Bathroom was large and bath/shower was good. The included breakfast was surprisingly good with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bagels, juice, make your own waffles, fruit and tea/coffee… the highlight for me! Didn’t get to check out the pool area due to our schedule. Appreciated their pet friendliness.
