How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was non smoking but we could still smell cigarette smoke as soon as we walked in. Also, it was a bit weird not having a sink in the bathroom.
It was close ish to where we were going to a wedding.

We enjoyed our stay at the Foxwoods. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with several choices. Overall good value.

Plenty of car parking,relaxed atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff,good location. The room was spacious and well equipped. Would definately stay there again.

Random trucks parking in the lot outside of the. Holding with very loud exhaust at 2 am

1st room the a/c didn’t work but staff was great & moved me to a different room that the a/c worked good in.
Easy to find, clean. Spacious rooms, staff was very friendly & helpful. Nice breakfast included.

It is difficult driving some of the roads going into Drayton Valley.
The hot breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay.

Stain on the carpet and small hole in the window.
Breakfast was good. It would have been nice to have muffins. But the croissants were great.Friendly staff and free dvds!

It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Dead flies in window, needed to be vacuumed and the blanket was dirty
Needs a decor update. Change of rugs. Also the black blanket on the bottom of the bed was dirty.

The pillows were much too thick! Two thinner ones would be better, or at least have one thinner one available to guests with narrower shoulders!

The carpet in the room was stretched and uncomfortable to walk on after a long day of work.
A/C was already on and the room was comfortable at check in.

The continental breakfast was rather poor. Both coffee dispensers were empty with no effort by staff to replenish them. The electronic coffee dispenser stopped the option of various types of coffee and was limited to flavoured coffee or hot chocolate. At 8:30 (the breakfast goes to 10am) there were zero potatoes, a few warm sausages in addition to fresh ones that were not preheated (they were cold as the fridge to touch) and the staff added eggs that were very cold. Needless to say to say we packed our bags, got a hot coffee from the local Tim Hortons and headed back to Edmonton where we enjoyed a wonderful brunch.
Property was clean, beds were fresh and overall staff were quite accommodating.

The location is very far to travel to with a lot of traffic on the secondary roads.
We enjoyed the hot breakfast. All the food selections were tasty. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds.

All surfaces were dusty in our room. I did show reception the photos and she did have someone come clean it. Also, when we came back after our event at 130, the outside hotel door was stuck open and the main doors were also unlocked. The deadbolt in our room didn’t work, so the hotel lacked up safety.
It was close to everything we needed. The beds were actually quite comfortable.

The vending machines didn’t work and they couldn’t find a key for it the stuff they were selling behind the counter chips had expired a year earlier. Had movies but not cable.
It was easy to find, very clean rooms and the restaurant in front made it convenient and had great food.

Noise travels a bit through the rooms. One can hear the pipes creak a lot I often carry ear plugs so no great deal.
The room has a clean new microwave. The shampoo/conditioner dispenser is a great idea. The breakfast is excellent. So close to Boston Pizza , too.
