Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. New ZealandA lot of interruptions in the room by hotel staff. They seem to come to the room at least three times a day if you don’t have the do not disturb sign up. The hotel is getting a bit dated. There’s also silly charges like a “resort experience” fee (not optional) and food service can be quite slow. The breakfast was rather bad, most things were stale or lukewarm and for $50 a person you’d expect better. These are things I do consider picky, but when you’re paying this kind of money up front for a hotel room you do expect these things to be spot on.
It had lots of good services, pool, restaurants and was close to the village. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a great size, as well as lots of storage. The hotel was very accessible. We had two separate bookings and the lady behind the counter was very helpful in aligning it so we could keep the same room. We really appreciated this.

Loved everything about the staff - but we got “upgraded” on arrival , without being asked. I had picked an alpine suite with superior view - said recently renovated and high floor superior view… our room may have been bigger? But it was just us - and I purposefully stayed with my 3rd party booking , booking.com because though FAIRMONT offered huge discount rates this summer? That reserved room was not available. Our low floor , lovely though it was room, showed mostly the mini golf and the roof and we kept our curtains closed because of it. Very disappointed for the full price money we paid booking.com

Room and view is excellent, and close to facilities. Breakfast in the Wildflower is one of the best. Walking distance from upper village to lower village is 10mins and very convenient.

AustraliaFor a 5 star hotel and what we paid I was disappointed with a few things. The sheets were dreadful - so thin and came off both beds as soon as you got into bed. The bed itself was comfortable but the sheets were terrible. There are dogs everywhere - staying in rooms. It’s a North American thing but it was strange in this stunning 5 star hotel to have dogs everywhere. The pool Is not that big and it was absolutely packed. You couldn’t even see the hot tubs - people everywhere. I watched my sons in the pool for 30 mins and not one staff member cleaned the plastic glasses etc all Around the pool. It was filthy. The pool was so loud with music and didn’t stop until 11pm. We were on the 6th floor and it kept us up. I personally think it is a completely overrated hotel and we would not stay there again for that price.
It’s a lovely hotel within a lovely backdrop of Whistler. I liked the location - and there was a free shuttle every 15 mins into the village or it was an easy 5-10 minute walk. The belt staff were Great and efficient and the man who checked us in was excellent.

They even coordinated the delivery of a special collectible teddy bear 🥹 I wanted from their Whistler location to the Fairmont Vancouver, making my stay truly memorable. The level of care and attention to detail was exceptional, and every interaction with the staff was warm and professional. This is by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.♥️
