Our room, as advertised on Booking, included a lake view and a balcony. However, what the property failed to mention is that some of the balconies are shared between rooms. This was the case with our room: rooms 128 and 129 share the same balcony, with no physical separation (unlike other rooms that had clearly divided spaces). This setup took away from the sense of privacy and intimacy we were seeking when we chose this hotel. It also raises concerns from a security standpoint. If you’re considering booking, be aware of this shared balcony arrangement. Additionally, the staff member (male) working the evening shift was quite indifferent and showed little interest in helping us find an alternative. While I understand that rooms can book up quickly, especially in such a well-located property, being met with a shrug and a “there’s nothing I can do” attitude was disappointing and completely out of sync with the hotel’s otherwise charming vibe. This level of service felt unprofessional and below the standard expected from a hotel of this calibre. We also had a poor experience at Bistro Koz, located right next to the hotel. Don’t bother making a reservation and providing special requests such as “table on the upstairs terrace”: the young staff seemed untrained and unable to manage full capacity. We were a party of three, and we were denied seating on the upstairs terrace because “a group of 15 had just arrived, and the waitress couldn’t handle more tables.” We were in Magog for 2 nights: on night 1 they gave us the exact same excuse, but managed to find us a seat, but hearing the same excuse on night 2 was quite laughable.

The location on the lake was perfect. The restaurant, Bistro Koz, was attached and easy access in bad weather. There was also an ice cream restaurant on the site. Both were excellent.

Our room was just what we asked for. We have been at the hotel before and we always enjoyed our stay. The front desk with Eric is always a pleasure. He is fast and efficient. In the restaurant Andree was also a gem!

Location was superb right at the tip of the lake within easy walking distance, through parks, to town.

Comfortable, clean room with a great view of the lake and easy access to the skating loop just out the door. The Nespresso coffeemaker was fantastic, as was the onsite restaurant, Koz. The service at both the restaurant and the front desk was excellent. Would gladly stay again!

Because we were on the first floor, we could hear guests above us walking or moving chairs around from time to time.

The room was comfortable. The view was fantastic facing the lake. We had a terrace and it was relatively private. They keep the grounds well maintained with lovely flowers and shrubs. The restaurant KOZ Bistro was very good with their Mediterranean dishes. Most of all, the staff were very polite and helpful.

It's a very lovely place and area. Their Restaurant Koz is amazing. We will go back next year. The rooms are perfect with a balcony. The view is relaxing.

The terrace requires maintenance. They do not have slipper service, regularly all Hotels have this service and I have paid the same or a lower price. Under the beds, they need to be cleaned because there is dust, however, the sheets were clean.
