Lovely well maintained historic property right on the lake. Love the history and the facility. Great food and lovely bar. Lots of outdoor lakeside seating.

Our room in the Heritage wing was noisy. We could hear the music from the dining room, and it sounded like someone was moving furniture and walking around the room above us wearing loud shoes until after midnight each of the 3 nights we stayed.

This hotel is in a great location with convenient access to restaurants and activities. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Small things such as the bathroom drain was broken, so I couldn’t have a bath 🙄. Coffee machine was a bit tricky to figure out. The desk lamp where the coffee machine was didn’t work, so couldn’t see how to work it. Had to walk to the Manteo to check in, which was a pain.

Nice and clean hotel. Loved the cork flooring in the room. Very nice staff who responded to requests quickly. Hot and warm pools were excellent.

The room was lovely and the view to the marina was fabulous. I enjoyed the live music at the bar at dinner and the view to the marina at breakfast.

Very thin walls. The bar below our room was noisy (music). The hotel boasts about its sustainability values - I think they need to address this a little. The breakfasts we had were huge, massive and went mostly uneaten. As such a lot of waste. A card in the room stated guests get a refillable water bottle but we only got the one being told that applied to another part of the hotel!!! So why say what they say on the card!

Location with a view over the lake is great. The balcony a bonus. Sadly, we arrived much later than we wanted to and as such didn't get to get around the hotel.

My room looked at the parking lot instead of the lake but that was just luck of the draw.

The facility is in a lovely location. Its waterfront deck is beautiful, even in the late fall when it was quite chilly. The room had customized artwork, was big and comfortable and generally as one expects from a quality resort.

Room itself was quite dated and tired - it has historical charm in its facade and restaurant, but the room itself could have used some updating 30 years ago or so. There is no city on the planet but Kelowna where the El Dorado could charge what they do for a room, where what they offer for that room would be seen as reasonable. In Kelowna since the BC government killed the private rentals it is the only option in the city worth staying at, and its price reflects that. My next stop in my business trip was in Vernon where I had a *much* nicer room also on a lake for about 1/4 the price, so it stings to pay what El Dorado costs to stay somewhere that in any other city would be a fraction of that, just because the government killed the competition operating at El Dorado’s level of quality in the city. I would happily stay again, because since BC banned the private options El Dorado is the best available in Kelowna.

Parking definitely an issue when an event is on at the hotel. Not even a dedicated check in or drop off area near the building, having to park across the street in a public lot and bring bags to hotel. Some areas of the hotel showing its age with worn furniture in the room and hallways, woodwork grubby in places from hands etc. Could use some cleaning.

Older facility in a good location on the water. Busy and somewhat noisy at times but to be expected with marina, patio and boat launch nearby.

The Fitness room was really worn out. They had tons of 5lbs weights 1 10lbs weight then jumped to 20,25,35 etc lbs weights. Hard to do an upper body workout with free weights.
