The only downside really was not much hanging space for clothes so we mostly stayed packed during our time there.

While our stay was very enjoyable overall, there are a few small improvements that could make the experience even better. In our room, the coffee machine was placed on a very low shelf, which made it a bit awkward to use. Some of the storage areas were also set quite high, making them difficult to reach. On rainy days, more practical touches would be helpful—like additional hooks at the entrance for wet jackets, a larger mat to catch water and dirt before stepping in, and perhaps a small stool by the door to make it easier to remove shoes without tracking mud across the room. These are minor details, but they would add a lot of convenience and comfort to the overall guest experience.

Our three-night stay at Duffin Cove Resort was nothing short of wonderful. Even with the rain rolling in for much of our visit, the experience was still incredibly relaxing. In fact, the sound of the waves combined with the rainfall created such a calming atmosphere that it felt like the perfect backdrop for a coastal getaway. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and designed to make the most of the stunning views. Waking up each morning to look out over the water—even on misty, grey days—was a highlight in itself. The large windows and private deck made it easy to simply sit back, enjoy a coffee, and watch the weather shift across the cove. What stood out most was how peaceful and secluded the resort felt while still being just minutes away from Tofino’s restaurants and shops. After a day of exploring trails and beaches nearby, coming back to Duffin Cove to unwind made the trip feel perfectly balanced. Rain or shine, this spot is a gem. The staff were warm and attentive, and the location right on the water makes it unique. If you’re looking for a place where you can embrace the beauty of the coast in all kinds of weather, Duffin Cove is a perfect choice.

Staff is only available on site between 10am and 6pm. The day of our departure, there was a partial power outage before 10am and it was difficult to contact the staff to resolve the issue.

The rooms are lovely and the view gorgeous. The resort does not offer food facilities, but there are some restaurants nearby, and a well-provisioned Coop grocery store. Parking is provided onsite.

It was a bit style over substance. It looked great but the “extra bit” was missing. No desk/table; no kettle for tea; utterly uncomfortable outside furniture ; old linen on the beds; cheap furniture fittings. This was a shame because it could have been fantastic with some extra thought.

The location - views from the room, and access to the town were superb. The king sized bed was good and so was the shower.

There was nothing we didn’t like — everything met or exceeded our expectations.

The view of the ocean from our room was absolutely breathtaking — it felt like a dream. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated their understanding when we were a bit late with check-out due to our whale-watching tour. It was such a relaxing and memorable experience.

That we couldn't stay longer! Would be helpful to have somewhere to hang the floor towel to dry and outlets for USB charging. Would definitely love it if we could have slept with the patio door open slightly but there needs to be a screen. Maybe a retractable screen?

Nothing everything was superb

Excellent location - the best in Tofino. Room and bathroom was modern clean and spacious . The balcony and view was excellent .
