How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The AC was really loud when it kicked in- loud enough to wake up up throughout the night. The free breakfast was appreciated it was just busy and out of a lot of items.
The location was easy to get to and close to WEM. There was lots of parking. The room was clean and comfortable.

Our Second night we were woken up by a barking dog at 4 a.m. We weren't happy about that. otherwise it was very good stay.
everything from bed to breakfast was perfect. we will be coming back for sure. upon arrival Dawn and Victoria were excellent hosts. My wife has celiac, so Dawn helped us find gluten free restaurants in our area. 5 stars to the hosts.

My favourite thing was the games scattered through the hotel from mini-golf to hopscotch. I saw lots of kids enjoying slushies.

The tvs were super finicky, we couldn’t get the regular cable to work most of the time (we were there 4 days, and I think it worked one day when we asked the front desk staff to fix it). It allowed logins from streaming services but then didn’t log people out after - there should be a reset once people check out in case they forgot and the other guests can’t just use their login. Pool was fun and there were lots of floaties and toys but the shallow end was very small.
It was close to west ed which was the reason for our visit, the suite was excellent and well suited to our needs, staff was friendly and the continental breakfast/lobby coffee and lobby slush puppies were a hit!

The AC didn’t work fully right. It cooled it down a bit but was still quite hot in the room. The lady at the front desk tho was very kind and brought us a fan.
Lots of things for the kids to enjoy: slushies, mini putt, pool (which included beach balls and mats), and a fun room.

We stayed for 15 days and the cleaning staff often don’t do deep cleaning, which they supposed to do on every third day. No pots or utensils, even though it was a suit. The breakfast was all processed food.

They will clean your room every 3 days, that was my1st time to experienced it in a hotel, though you can ask them if you want your room to be cleaned. Breakfast 6 out of 10. The beds, feels like it will fall apart or it will turn upside down if you sit on the side and it was noisy, i kept telling my kids not to sit on the side of the bed. The room itself is good since its newly renovated.
I like the location, it's near to the places that we what to visit.

Kitchen facilities in the room, but could not be used, as there were no pots and pans etc. Not the best breakfast - very limited selection
Breakfast was ok, not as good as "normal" European hotel breakfast, but ok. Big room, clean and with good beds. Big fridge Super nice gym Location very good, if you are just passing by Edmonton or wish to visit the Edmonton West Mall. Nice and free parking area

Bathroom door wasn't fitted right to frame and the air vent coulda been changed in renovations was bent and a bit dusty but you had to look for it
The new updated hotel was nice kids are older and want to come back for the pool. Rooms were nice and spacious. We all liked the slushy machine and the mini golf greens
