How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Location is ok if u use metro and depending on what ur doing. If planning to focus on old Montreal/port area, find something closer. Breakfast was ok, but there are nicer places around for breakfast.
Decent hotel, clean, friendly staff.

The restaurant charged me for breakfast that was included in the stay, so luckily I caught that before checking out or it would have cost me an extra $70. The TV in the room was so far away from the bed, we couldn't watch it, and the attach your device to stream didn't work which was unfortunate. Lastly, the carpet in the room wasn't flat which we kept tripping over.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was large and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Amenities were great, 24h gym, pool, and restaurants on site.

Outstanding service by the hotel personnel, at the reception and at the breakfast area. The hotel's location was perfect for us.

The double beds are on the limit if you are two adults sleeping in one. Breakfast a bit underwhelming.
Good location 20 min walk from Old Montreal. Garage available for a fee.

Sheets, quilts, etc. need to be replaced, because it‘s been too long.
The service was very good. I arrived at the hotel at 11 a.m. after a 13-hour flight. The front desk staff was very understanding and arranged for the check-in. Thoughtful!

We had some minor issues with the EV charging not working in the garage and difficulty getting out of the garage, but the staff was wonderful and very responsive.
Very conveniently located. The staff was friendly and attentive. The facilities had everything we needed and more.

Wish I was made aware that cots were not avalible as I had mentioned it multiple times when booking but was told it was against policy at check-in. Weird we had to ask for furniture for the balcony.
Staff was friendly, kindly kept our bags behind the counter after checkout. Breakfast was good with large portions. Pool was nice and location was good.

I was expecting a little more quality from the restaurant based on the description of the food and the price; was disappointed
Great central location for walking to all sorts of attractions including Old Montreal, McGill, the Eaton Centre and the Grand Staircase. The room was clean and spacious.

Have to pay extra for WiFi (in 2024!) and breakfast. Only disposable coffee cups in room. I don't understand why not a proper mug. It's such an expensive hotel, why make it feel like a cheap takeaway?

Standard hotel issues like some of the appliances and drains not working properly. Also kind of weird that there's no lights in the ceiling, just lamps. It's not a super fancy hotel so we didn't expect much more than we got. Good value for what we paid though.
Beds were comfortable, and rooms are large. Most come with a private patio. Walls are thick too, we never heard anyone else on a sold out weekend. We travelled for a bachelor party and obviously had some late nights, not being too loud but laughing over music, and we never got a single complaint.

The parking entrance and space are too narrow and overall parking roof — not enough space room - open suv trunk —-easily hit on top of parking water/main red pipes — End up scratching dents in the trunk hatch! 😱

The swimming pool shower/change room was not clean. The water temperature is not pleasant. The water pipes make a loud noise when someone is taking a shower, and this noise can be easily heard in your room or in the hallway.
Being in downtown Montreal, the location is great.The complimentary breakfast is also great.
