Bedding was dampish and cold - I think a dehumidifier in the basement would have helped as we were in the basement. Lots of rules written on sticky notes. Did not understand one of them.

It is not about accommodation, just a heads up: If you don't have a car it is quite far from everywhere. Yes, buses are going, but it cannot be compared with the transportation system we are used to in Europe. So prepare to walk a lot, wait a lot for the bus, or spend a lot of money for Uber or a taxi.

I did like the privacy of my room, and the comfortable bed. It was easy to extend my stay. Communication with owners was without problem. I felt safe. The house is in a quiet part of the town.

Bed was great, water is hot. Host is amazing. Response really quick. House is almost brand new! Sparkling shiny. It has good accessibility to Banff, and all amenities are within driving distance. I’ve been several hotels and bnb in Calgary for vacation, and this place is my favourite one. You’ll love this place!

The mattress was not flat and sunk in the middle. There are numerous dirty marks on the carpet in the room. They can claim they clean all they want, but the fact is there was pink and black mold in the bathroom. There was also not enough toilet paper.

The host did not send the door code on the day of our arrival. If it had not been for another guest at the property, we wouldn’t have got in. Very dim lighting in the bedroom. Not even night enough to read. There were handwritten notes all over the house. For example: flush toilet and wipe seat if you dribbled. Turn off light when not in room Use microwave cover and don’t cook smelly foods. They that a cleaning person comes in everyday but I think that person needs to do a better job-especially in the bathrooms, which are shared. The bathroom walls and floors were not clean. I would not stay here again or recommend this property to others.

We stayed in the lower level of this house in June and it was freezing cold. I had to sleep in thermal clothes and wear extra layers all day because my hands would go numb. I asked management to turn up the heat but they said they couldn’t do anything. There was supposed to be a hairdryer, but there wasn’t one — I have long hair and had to sleep with wet hair in a cold room. The house is poorly maintained: broken things are just patched up with tape or makeshift fixes. The microwave handle was replaced with shoelaces, and a chair in our room was wrapped in tape — when my partner sat on it, he got poked by a nail sticking out of the seat. The WiFi didn’t work either. Luckily we were only there for two nights.

Bed was comfortable, free parking spot.

I had a hard time finding the numbers on the house. When I came in there was a strong odor in the house from cooking. Kitchen was messy. Bathroom was dirty. Not been cleaned. There were no utensils to use not even plastic. Inside of fridge was dirty. The room itself was really small. I did not feel comfortable. Bathroom had no emenidies for me. I checked out early cuz I didn't want spend another night there. Very strict rules as well.

There was no plates nor any cutlery. None of the guests could cook or use the oven despite the big oven and big kitchen. Toaster, Electric Kettle and other facilities were greasy and dirty. Inside the house was several cameras built in, controlling guests inside the house. Despite staying for more than a week, guests were not allowed to use the washing machine nor the dryer. We had to pay 25 CAD each time for washing clothes. This was not mentioned on the information advertised for the house in the first place.

Xiu was very responsive throughout my stay. Everything in the house was clean and tidy. Other guests were very compliant and house was nice, beautiful and quiet most of the time. Great host, great guests, great price; Everything was as described and I highly recommend booking with Xiu !

At the last minute, the host asked to change houses and claimed the house was better. A lie: the house was farther away. The room had poor lighting, the bed was uncomfortable, the sheets were old, worn, and torn, and the curtains didn't have blackout curtains. Another clueless guest left his rotten shoes outside his room, and the whole house smelled incredibly disgusting. It was one of the worst hosting experiences of my life. It's clear the host is doing this for business and doesn't care about the guest's well-being.
