How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

When ypu drive up you look for the office. A sign on the wall facing away from the front states that it is the Chinook yet there is no info telling a person that they must register at the Ramada

TV difficult to work (according to my partner), towels were shredded and flooring creaky. Walls lack adequate sound proofing (adjacent room), But for the value Chinook Motel was very, very good. I will be staying again.
Parking access to front door. Excellent bed and tub/shower.

Great price that included breakfast. Quiet. The rooms were clean but walls were a bit grubby in places. Bed was comfy. Reasonable space to move around. Parking in front of unit.

The registration desk is in the hotel the signage for this is poor i drove around the building looking for the office finally i had to ask someone where it was. There were ants in the room

Definitely needs an updating Furnishings, rugs pillows etc need replacing. Thin walls! Could hear TV next door until 3 & 4 in morning.

The area the rooms were in didn’t feel very safe unfortunately. Shady people (likely some of them were vagrants) hung around the area, sometimes very close to the rooms, so coming in and out of the room later in the evening was a bit scary.
The breakfast was delicious and there was lots to choose from.

We were traveling when it was above 30 degrees! The room was extremely hot. There was a small wall air conditioner, but it did nothing to cool off the room. It was too hot to sleep well. Also, booking.com said all rooms were non-smoking! They are not! Call to be sure! Plus, registration was in the Ramada next door! They didn't have their own, and there were no signs to indicate such.
It was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Good price for a single night stay.

Minor annoyances such as noisy bathroom fan and room darkening curtains that have outlived their usefulness.
Property was relatively close to the event I was attending so I was able to walk. Breakfast was not included this year, it was last year. Room was basic but clean, very adequate for the budget conscious traveler.

Nothing as it is exactly what I expected...a room with a comfortable bed. Some rooms allow pets so they can be furry.
It is the Chinook. Been around forever. Rooms basic and dated but my room was clean and comfortable. Expect creaks in the floor and chips in the paint. If you are ok with that, it is value for the money. And the complimentary breakfast is great. Includes sausage and eggs besides all the typical comp breakfast stuff.

The room was big enough for the three of us. Clean and comfy. And there was a duty front desk that night that was so kind, friendly, and helpful. But i forgot to ask or see the name in her nameplate because its late at night when we check in. She's a filipina. (Duty at around 10-11pm, march 18)
